PENNE 🍝, the LAST of our pasta babies! This incredibly sweet and increasily social girl had a BLAST last week on two different corporate outings! First, Locumsmart employees had a giveback day and spent some time with several of our pups to help socialize them! We did a mini training session with Dog Whys and then group hike! Then our crew took some new profile pictures and wrote some new bios to help them get adopted!

Then on Friday, we headed over to Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum for a little employee appreciation day! They got to snuggle and love on some of our adoptable dogs. While we know the awesome folks at CMHOF loved it, this time was so great for the dogs! Dogs like Penne get to meet so many different kinds of people which helps set her up for success down the road! She was a rockstar. We know her home is out there. Now, internet…do your thing…let’s get this girl adopted!

A sweet Lab mix, Penne is great on a leash and up for a walk in the park. She’s curious and comfortable around other dogs, and wants to get to know her humans too. Penne is calm and good with commands. She’s probably about 40 lbs and we don’t think she will get too much bigger, she is really the smallest of her siblings. Penne is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all her vaccines! All she needs is is her Furever home. ❤️🐶

To our SOAR family,
Even in her grief and incredible pain, Morgan has such a way with words. I felt that it was important to share Kodas passing with you; because without him, there would be no SOAR or the Village Unleashed. Not only was he the support system to one of our founders, but he was her inspiration which led to her passion for working with aniamls.

Koda was probably one of the smartest dogs I have ever met; that is not an understatement. Always loyal to Morgan, but always making sure everyone was ok. He took care of many foster dogs (except the puppies…he would just rather not 🤣) and made sure the Village ran like clockwork.

Koda, we love you, we miss you and we promise to take care of Morgan the best we can. We all have some big shoes to fill…❤️🐶

It’s Dog Bite Prevention Week — and Lady Jane is here to show what prevention really looks like.

Thanks to our friends at The Muzzle Movement, this sweet girl has a custom-fit muzzle to help her safely navigate the world with confidence. While Lady Jane doesn’t have a bite history, she is a dog who benefits from clear communication, structure, and support — just like any of us would after facing uncertainty and change.

Muzzles aren’t just for dogs with bite histories — they’re for dogs who deserve safe, positive experiences. Whether it’s a vet visit, a new environment, or meeting new people, a muzzle can offer peace of mind and protection while setting a dog up for success.

Meet Grimes- ❤️ A special soul looking for her perfect match❤️Grimes is a sweet and gentle 4-5 year old pint sized pup with a full heart of love just waiting to shine. While she may be shy and reserved at first, with patience and the right environment, she blossoms into an affectionate and playful companion. Grimes thrives on the company of other dogs and requires a home with a confident canine sibling to help her feel safe and secure. She is fully house broken, non-destructive, making an easy companion in the home. She is not a huge fan of walks on the leash so a fenced yard is a must for this girl! She does have a life long, but manageable medical condition which doesn’t interfere with daily activities (nor is it transferable to canine siblings) which we will discuss with adopters! Medication support will be included for 6 months as well as a waived adoption fee for the right family ❤️🐶! Please don’t miss out on this sweet girl. She has come so far. 🫶

👋 Meet Riverboat Rhonda 🚢🐶 This is the devoted momma of our Freshwater Ecosystem litter, born in March 2024. This Husky mix has a gentle, loving nature, though she may be a bit nervous when meeting new people. With patience and understanding, River blossoms into a sweet and affectionate companion. While most of her babes have gone on to start their own lives, she is still with us hoping for that special family. We hope 2025 is her year to find that patient family that can give her love and space to thrive! As a Husky mix, she has a clever and curious nature, so a family with experience in managing the breed’s tendency to be an escape artist is essential.
