Meet Gage Loveland—a young entrepreneur proving that age is just a number when it comes to building a legacy in agriculture. 🐐

Through his business, Legendary Uintah Boer Goats, Gage is learning the ropes of budgeting, genetics and herd management. IFA is proud to support young growers like Gage through our Young Producer program by providing the feed discounts and expert resources they need to succeed.

Get up close and personal with the cute faces behind National Milk Day! 🥛🐄

Producing high-quality milk starts with high-quality care. At IFA, our nutritionists work side-by-side with local dairy producers to ensure their herds have the specialized programs and feed they need to thrive. We are proud to provide the local expertise that helps bring fresh, wholesome milk to your family’s table.

Celebrate National Milk Day by raising a glass to our hardworking Intermountain dairy farmers!

The new year brings with it new life and new beginnings for Intermountain farmers and ranchers.

January not only marks the start of a new year, but a new and busy season for many of our local producers. At IFA, we know that the first moments are the most critical. That’s why our experts are dedicated to providing the resources you need to ensure every member of your herd gets the best start possible. Here’s to a healthy and productive 2026.

Thanks to Haylee L. for capturing this great photo.

🚜Farm Fact: A cow’s energy requirement increases by about 1% for every degree the temperature drops below the animal's "lower critical temperature". Lower critical temperature varies by animal and environment, but when temperatures dip below this threshold livestock shift their energy from growth and maintenance to simply staying warm. For a mama cow nursing a new calf in the Intermountain winter, her nutritional needs can skyrocket by as much as 30–40%. IFA's trusted feed and nutrition team provide local expertise to help navigate these seasonal shifts. Whether it’s high-fat supplements or specialized mineral programs, our nutritionists are here to ensure your herd stays healthy when the temperatures drop.

🎅Twas the morning before Christmas, at the IFA Store,🎁
Not a shopper was stirring, not even on the floor;
The feed bags were stacked in the yard with care,
In hopes that Co-op Members soon would be there;
Aisles of tools and cute little toys,
Lay waiting and wishing, for a farmer, or rancher, or good little boys;
With hopes to be chosen, as their Christmas surprise,
All wrapped up in bows and cute ribbon ties,
When at the door there arose such a clatter,
IFA staff sprang from their posts to see what was the matter.
Away to the front they flew like a flash;
Straight up past the saddles and pets and even the stash,
Of goodies and trinkets and small knick knacks,
They saw the growing crowd and they froze in their tracks.
When what to their wondering eyes did appear,
But about two-dozen Co-op Members all coming in near,
On a mission for Christmas and holiday joys,
Shopping for gardeners and grillers and good ol’ cowboys.
More helpful than hand gloves the IFA crew,
Guide eager shoppers and answer their questions too:
"Yes we have pet beds! Of course we have coops!
Would he need a new hot shot? Or maybe some boots?
To the back of the feed barn! To the garden center wall!
Now a Cinch shirt for him! A necklace for her! And new jackets for all!"
As cattle before the little blue farm dog fly,
The feed bags are loaded, stack them up high;
Christmas for the critters and livestock back home
Time to find the garden seeds, and don’t forget Fertilome—
As Christmas fast approaches, the IFA team,
Help to load new panels–every rancher's dream.
That “new” pellet grill won't last for long; it’s true,
Not with a cast iron and a few pellets too
Christmas dinner promises to be divine
With a couple new seasonings to add to the brine.
The gill expert will be happy and the rancher we know;
But what to get the farmer who helps his fields grow?
How about a tool set, or boots, or what’s more,
Set up a time for your farmer to meet with a crop advisor!
Yes IFA has tools; Yes IFA has toys;
A gift for all the good little girls and boys,
But at the center, IFA is more than just a store;
Here for the Co-op Members who grow every day,
Since 1923, and we’re here to stay,
Helping to grow the things you love.
So may your Christmas be merry and bright;
Full of family, and home, and beautiful light,
And when the stockings are filled; and morning has come,
May you receive all your holiday wishes and maybe then some.

Merry Christmas Eve from IFA!🎄🎁
