Sweet Benito is still looking for his match—whether through adoption or fostering! 💙 He’s a Rescue Recess favorite, and everyone who meets him raves about how amazing he is. We can’t believe he’s still waiting!

Benito is a happy, goofy guy who loves adventures, walks, pup cup car rides, and meeting new people. He’s great with other dogs, knows his commands, and is super smart—he has so much potential with someone willing to continue the training our awesome team has started.

Jacob is an absolute lovebug! 🐾 Ask to see him out in the yard and you’ll really get to see his personality shine. This goes for every shelter dog—don’t judge them by their kennel presence, give them a chance to show you who they are!

Jacob is treat-motivated and knows his commands like sit, paw, and more. Out in the yard, he’s a happy-go-lucky goofball who loves walks, fetch, and adventures. At 3 years old and 48 pounds, he’s the perfect size for fun and snuggles.

He also loves playing with other dogs and has so much love to give. Stop by our main shelter to meet him—you just might find your new best friend! ❤️

A Tale for a Tail is back at PBHSN 😺❤️

A Tale for a Tail is a one-hour reading program where children visit the PBHSN main shelter to read to our cats, creating a unique form of enrichment for both the kids and the animals!

Children of all ages can participate in A Tale for a Tail on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 to 4:00 pm at our main shelter. Space is limited, registration is required to participate. To register and learn more, visit: pbhsnaples.org/reading

It’s Foster Friday, and this one is extra special! 💛 Deuce has been with us for almost a year and, until now, never had the chance to be in a foster home. He first came to us after being hit by a car, but thankfully, he made a full recovery. Somehow, Deuce has flown under the radar—but thanks to our amazing fosters, he’s finally getting a shelter break and experiencing what a loving home feels like.

This is exactly why fostering is so important. Spending too long in a shelter environment can take a toll on a dog’s personality, but fostering gives them the chance to relax, heal, and shine.

Our dream? For Deuce to find his forever family while he’s in foster so he never has to return to the shelter. 🐾 Will you give him the chance he’s been waiting for?

We are urgently seeking a foster hospice home for sweet Keanu. ❤️

Keanu came to us as a transfer from another shelter and has been having a tough time adjusting here. He was recently diagnosed with lymphoma, and we’d love nothing more than for him to live out his days in a warm, loving home instead of the shelter, where he’s struggling to thrive.

Keanu is such a gentle, affectionate boy—he loves meeting new people and never says no to chin scratches. While he is FeLV-positive, that doesn’t stop him from being a playful, loving cat with so much personality.
