🤬 Left to die after being starved. How do we tell her she is going to die? She was given toys and a blanket to show her some kind of love before she is killed on Friday. The most heartbreaking part, she holds onto the toy caring for it as if it was her puppy. The only comfort she will have before her final walk to the room that has seen many other dogs take their last breath.

Hi neighbors,

Thank you all so much for your kindness, prayers, shares, and for keeping an eye out over the past few days. It truly meant so much during a very stressful time.

We are incredibly grateful for this happy ending. Catherine is safe, loved, and resting comfortably at home 🐾✨

We are looking for a missing cat named Catherine 🐾 who accidentally slipped out when her owner opened the apartment door. She was last seen on Thursday, April 16th in the evening near building 3520 at Sandalwood Village in North Naples. Since this is a new environment for her, she may be scared and hiding nearby.

Catherine is a beautiful Russian Blue with a soft gray coat. She is not wearing a collar and is not microchipped.

If you live in the community, please check your garages, patios, stairwells, and any small hiding spaces. It’s also possible someone may have taken her in, thinking she was lost or needed help.

She is very loved, well cared for, and deeply missed by her mom, Loraine. We are simply hoping to bring her safely back home.

A reward will be offered for her safe return.

Most people expect astronauts to look serious in their official portraits.

Perfect posture.
Straight face.
No emotion.

But one NASA astronaut chose something different.

Leland Melvin had spent more than 565 hours in space, orbiting Earth, working on missions that very few humans will ever experience. By every standard, his career was extraordinary.

But when it came time for his official portrait… he didn’t want it to be about space.

He wanted it to be about home.

Years earlier, he had found a dog named Scout abandoned on Thanksgiving Day. Cold, alone, and struggling to survive. Instead of walking away, he took him in and spent months rebuilding trust.

Another rescue, Jake, soon became part of his life too.

They weren’t just pets.

They were part of his story.

There was only one problem. NASA had a strict “no dogs” policy for official photos.

So he made a choice.

He brought them anyway.

Smuggled them into the Johnson Space Center, hoping to get just one shot before anyone stopped him.

And then something happened no one could plan.

At the exact moment the photo was taken… both dogs jumped up and started licking his face.

No pose.
No control.
Just real joy.

The image became one of the most recognized astronaut portraits ever taken.

Because after everything he had seen…
space, missions, history…

that moment said more than any perfect photo ever could.

Miss Glory was gifted her very own crunchy carrot from the Easter Bunny… and let’s just say she was beyond proud of her prize 🐶✨ (and yes, we saved a little for later because good things should be enjoyed twice 💛)
