Rosie was brought into UrgentVet because she was having gastrointestinal upset. After doing a f***l test, our care team found that Rosie had coccidia - a parasitic infection of the gastrointestinal tract in dogs. This can be found in dog f***s, soil contaminated with f***s, or even by consuming infected prey. It is a simple treatment - and we prescribed the right things to get Rosie feeling better.

This little lady is Clover, a sweet-as-can-be dachshund who came into UrgentVet for limping. Thankfully, her X-rays looked clear, and she went home with medications to help her feel more comfortable.

Just look at Scooby's smile! Scooby visited us at UrgentVet because he was squinting and having discharge from one of his eyes. We did necessary testing to ensure that he did not have a corneal ulcer (scratch on cornea). Thankful for Scooby, the test was negative for an ulcer. We prescribed the right eye medication to get him on the road to recovery. We hope you feel better soon, Scooby!

After some necessary testing to find the root of her problem, we sent her home with the right medications to get her on the road to recovery. Feel better soon, Maisie! ❤️‍🩹

This curious little Yorkie pup, Benji, gave his mom quite the scare today! Four month old Benji managed to sneak one of her medications, so her mom quickly did the right thing and called Pet Poison Control. With their guidance and a trip to see us, we were able to induce vomiting and provide supportive care to keep him safe.

We're happy to report that after some TLC, he is back to his playful, energetic self - and his mom is keeping meds far out of paw's reach from now on!

Yesterday, our team at UrgentVet Mckinney had the solemn honor of providing care for K9 Officer Azi, a devoted partner who gave his life in the line of duty. Azi was a hero, a protector, and a beloved member of the McKinney Police Department.

Our hearts go out to Azi’s handler, fellow officers, and all who knew and loved him. His dedication and bravery will never be forgotten.

Rest easy, K9 Officer Azi. You were deeply loved, and your service will always be remembered. It was a privilege to care for you.

🚨 OFFICIAL STATEMENT: OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTING 🚨

The McKinney Police Department has released an official statement regarding the officer-involved shooting that occurred on March 13, 2025, at the Red Roof Inn on 1300 North Central Expressway.

The investigation remains active and has been turned over to the Texas Rangers. There is no ongoing threat to the public.
