Behind every pet is a story, and Daniella’s with Mr. G***k is one of heartbreak, hope, and healing. Within months, Daniella has lost two beloved cats - one to bone cancer and another to sudden complications from a UTI. That left her 3-year-old boy, Mr. G***k, as her whole world.

When she brought him in for a routine exam, she had no idea she’d be back a week later in a crisis. Mr. G***k had stopped eating, was vomiting, and was visibly distressed.

Our team ran X-rays and found something concerning in his intestine. An exploratory surgery was needed. Daniella, a recent college graduate still carrying the financial burden of her other cats’ care, wasn’t sure how she could afford it.

That’s when our Project Families Forever Fund stepped in. Because of the generosity of supporters, we were able to cover the costs of Mr. G***k’s surgery and give Daniella the gift of more time with her best friend.

Meet Zane 🐾 This sweet senior dog from The Naperville Area Humane Society has the biggest heart and the happiest smile, one we recently helped make even brighter!

Thanks to a grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization, Paws for a Cause Vet Care, formerly Spay Illinois, was able to provide Zane with the dental care he needed to feel his best while he waits for his forever family.

Zane is a gentle, loving companion who’s just as happy going for a hike as he is curling up for a snuggle. He’s great with kids, loves making new friends, and might even join you for a Starbucks pup cup run.

Senior pets like Zane deserve the chance to live out their golden years in comfort, health, and love and we’re proud to help make that possible with the support of Grey Muzzle ❤
