Paws for a Cause Vet Care is honored to receive a $10,000 grant from Petco Love as part of more than $1.2 million awarded to nearly 200 spay/neuter clinics and low-cost veterinary care providers nationwide.

This life-saving investment helps increase access to affordable veterinary care, reducing economic euthanasia and preventing families from having to surrender beloved pets simply because treatment feels out of reach.

Thanks to this incredible grant, we were able to purchase a Butterfly Handheld Ultrasound Machine and other essential equipment to enhance the care we provide every day.

Because of partners like Petco Love, we can continue to make compassionate, affordable veterinary care accessible to the pets and families who need it most ❤

Thank you, Petco Love, for believing in our mission and helping us create a healthier future for pets in our community.

After his consultation and bloodwork was reviewed, it was time for this brave 6-year-old pug to get the care he needed.

Meet Arlo, a 6-year-old pug who has captured the hearts of more than 14,000 followers ❤️

Even social media stars need dental care! Around age 6 is when many pets begin showing signs of dental disease, and Arlo’s family knew it was time for a checkup when they found one of his molars on the floor.

At Paws for a Cause Vet Care, every dental procedure starts with a consultation and bloodwork with one of our veterinarians. During this visit, we carefully assess your pet’s mouth and teeth to determine the level of dental care needed.

Arlo was quoted a Level 1–2 dental. Our dental levels are based on the amount of time needed for the procedure and the number of extractions required to restore your pet’s oral health.

We can quote dentals all the way up to a Level 4, which indicates the most extensive dental disease and the highest number of extractions needed.

Once the consultation is complete and bloodwork is reviewed, we schedule the dental procedure itself.

Stay tuned as we take you behind-the-scenes for Arlo’s big dental day 🦷

Spaying and neutering does more than prevent unwanted litters, it helps pets live healthier, happier lives!

These routine procedures can help reduce the risk of certain cancers and infections, decrease roaming and marking behaviors, and even help pets stay safer at home.

Most importantly, spaying and neutering help reduce overcrowding in shelters and give more animals a chance at finding loving homes.

The visuals above showcase before-and-after images of both spay and neuter procedures to help educate pet owners about the care and impact these surgeries provide.

Beauty, a 9-year-old Pitbull, recently stopped acting like herself. She was drinking and urinating more than normal, had a decreased appetite, and developed discharge.

After being evaluated at another animal hospital, Beauty was diagnosed with pyometra, a life-threatening infection of the uterus that requires emergency surgery.

Unfortunately, Beauty’s owner was presented with an unexpected estimate that was financially out of reach. That’s where VetBilling stepped in.

At Paws for a Cause Vet Care, we understand that emergencies don’t come with a warning, and finances shouldn’t stand in the way of the care your pet needs. That’s why we offer flexible payment options, including VetBilling, a payment plan that makes urgent veterinary care more accessible.

We were able to move forward with Beauty’s surgery and treatment by setting up a VetBilling plan, giving her owner peace of mind during an incredibly stressful time. VetBilling allows pet owners to start treatment with a smaller upfront payment and then pay the remaining balance over time in monthly installments. The process is simple, flexible, and helps families avoid delaying lifesaving care because of cost.

Beauty’s story is an important reminder about the value of spaying your pets. Pyometra is preventable through a spay surgery, and routine preventative care can help avoid devastating emergencies later in life.

When it comes to your pet’s health, you shouldn’t have to choose between care and cost!
