We did it! Thanks to your generosity, we successfully reached our $500 match from Stella's Shelter Fund for Eli's surgery! We also received a huge donation from former adopters, Laura and Mike B., which we'll put toward Eli's upcoming TPLO surgery. We are so grateful for all of our supporters.

🐾UPDATE ON ELI🐾

Eli, the sweet 5-year-old dog who came to us from a rural shelter needing TPLO on both knees, is healing well after his first surgery! His follow up appointment with his surgeon was this week and Dr. Caldwell says everything looks good. Now we are preparing for TPLO surgery #2 which is scheduled for September 9th.

The second surgery is crucial for Eli to live a pain free life, and we are determined to give him the best chance possible to recover from this and find his forever home. To make this happen, we need to raise another $2000 for his second surgery.

Once again Stella's Shelter Fund has offered to match the first $500 towards the surgery. Thank you Stella’s Shelter Fund! *And we already have an anonymous donor that has agreed to pay for all of Eli’s rehab and physical therapy!* (We love you anonymous donor!!!)

Your donation is more than just money; it's a step toward a future where Eli can run on all four paws without pain. Please help us give this most deserving boy his second chance at a happy, healthy life.

🐾REINTRODUCING PARKY! The dog formerly known as Parker.🐾

Parky is a 1 year old Australian cattle dog mix that weighs about 38 pounds. Look up "Velcro Dog" in the dictionary and you might find a picture of Parky!

🐶 Moderate energy and very affectionate
🐈‍⬛ Okay with cats!
🐕 Gets along with female dogs and some males
🏠 Housetrained
🛋 Favorite activity is snuggling on the couch

Parky would thrive in a home where the human either works from home or is retired. You need a refill on your coffee? Well Parky would get it for you if he could!

Today we are paying tribute to Enzo. Adopted out over 14 years ago. Outlived his first owner and then went to live with a long time IDAWG supporter. Enzo brought joy to many people. Rest in peace, little Enzo. You will be greatly missed!

🐾 Help Eli Get Back on His Feet! 🐾

This sweet boy is Eli. Eli came to us from a rural shelter at the end of March, 2025 when his time was up. We love this dog!

Eli needs double TPLO surgery to repair ACL disease in both knees— an issue that affects his ability to walk and move around comfortably. The cost will be about $3400 per knee.

Stella’s Shelter Fund has agreed to match the first $1000 in donations towards Eli’s surgery! Thank you Stella's Shelter Fund!

Rescue dogs are like a box of chocolates. You never know what you will get.
It's so nice to get a dog in that is 1) housetrained, 2) crate trained, 3) rides well in the car and 4) okay with other dogs!
He is also said to be okay with children and cats!
Welcome, Ludo.
He'll be about 40 pounds after weight loss. About the size of a small Australian shepherd. 2 years old.
He's so nice!
