Our Tiny Trotters fall semester has just ONE spot left for a horse-loving kiddo (ages 2–6)! This is the perfect way to introduce kids to horses in a low-pressure, fun, and safe environment.

Each class includes:
✨ Grooming & tacking up
✨ A short ride (about 15 minutes) — with a game or a skill to practice
✨ A hands-on craft, activity, or game

We had an absolute blast last semester — grab this last spot before it’s gone!

Wrapping up our Summer Camp recap with a double feature: Sessions 3 & 4! 🎉

Session 3 had us laughing constantly. Over the course of the week, a new camp tradition emerged... a camper-invented game called “Confuse the Adults.” I think you can guess the objective. Here were a few of their tactics:

🌀 All nine campers and counselors hiding silently in the bathroom with the lights off
🌀 A silent, heads-down parade past Paige as she was grooming a horse… and then back again
🌀 Everyone circling around Dustin, arms interlocked, chanting something mysterious

Let me assure you-- the adults were, in fact, confused. 😂

Session 4 wins the “Most Into Horses” award for the summer. These four girls came ready to eat, sleep, and breathe horses.

🌀No complaints about the heat (and it was HOT!)
🌀No asking to get off the horse early.
🌀No endless “When’s lunch??”

Just single-minded horse obsession from start to finish! 🐴💛

BIG, BIG, BIG thanks to all the counselors who helped out this summer -- Trinity, Leah Webb, Stella, Emily, Eliana, Anya, Taylor, and our two Jr. Photographers, Quinn and Caroline—this year of camp ran more smoothly than ever, and that is thanks in large part to the counselors. Y’all rocked it!

And another big thanks to our boarders Talon and Cassidy who generously let us use their wonderful horses Freckles and Koen for camp. Both of your horses are fan favorites with the kids!

Edit: we've got someone coming in for a working interview and we've got lots of good applications on file so we're covered for now! Thanks yall!!

🚨 We’re Hiring! 🚨

Mulberry Stables is looking for a reliable stall cleaner to join our team!

🗓 When: Tuesday & Thursday mornings
💵 Pay: $2.75 per stall (usually comes out to $10–15/hour depending on your speed!)
🐴 Perks: Discounted riding lessons available after two months of working with us.

This would be a great fit for someone who enjoys being around horses, working outdoors, and doesn’t mind getting their boots a little dirty.

Text or call Allison at 936-215-3756 if you're interested or want more details!

Beginner Camp Session 1! (Session 2 photos coming soon)

What a fun week with this group of kids—the horses were absolute saints and everyone learned so much. The highlight of the week had to be the Feed Bag Costume Contest, where Beckett’s robot costume and Quinn’s high fashion look stole the show!

Big thanks to Taylor Kent, who came all the way from California to help with camp and kept us laughing all week.

So proud of these riders and horses! 🐴✨

Two camp weeks down (and in a row!🥵) Let's kick off the recap and talk about Intermediate Camp week... and what a week it was!

Our riding focus was jumping preparation, and these kids absolutely nailed it. I went into the week thinking we’d work on two-point, maybe trot over a few poles, and just see how things went. Guys—by the end of the week, these kids were flying over cavaletti like it was nothing!

This was Remi’s very first camp, and he was a total rockstar. He and Emily make such an amazing team—seriously, everyone commented on how well-matched they are.

Big shoutout to Stella and Caitlin, who come from Western backgrounds and still kept up beautifully with girls who’ve been riding English for years. You two fit right in and tackled every challenge with courage and grit.

Cozzi and Eliana grew by leaps and bounds. Eliana’s confidence soared, and Cozzi really rose to the occasion—such a special pair to watch.

And of course, the Nixon girls. Caroline and Lizzie have been around the block, and you can always count on them to lead a pattern or demonstrate an exercise. Caroline is game for anything, and Lizzie's got the fastest emergency dismount this side of the Pecos River. 😂

This was honestly a remarkable group of girls—fun, supportive, low drama, and genuinely excited to ride and learn. They made the week smooth and joyful, both in the saddle and out of it.

Huge thanks to Leah Webb and Trinity, who were always ready to help with whatever weird thing I threw at them. They jumped right into all the fun—crafts, games, trivia—and made everything that much more memorable.

We’ll be sharing the Beginner Week 1 recap and photos soon—and we’ve still got two more beginner camps coming up this summer, so stay tuned for more pony-powered fun!

After a long search we finally found Lizzy's new riding partner. Muffin needs a little finishing work, but is already learning all about how good life can be at Mulberry. She especially enjoys unsweet iced tea and carrots!
