If your pet needs any prescription refills before the holiday weekend, please visit the Pet Page App or text us at 843-236-6080 to request a refill.

🚨 Over the next week, River Oaks Animal Hospital will be transitioning to a new practice management software. This upgrade is all part of our commitment to providing you and your pets with top-notch service and an even better overall experience.

While we’re optimistic everything will go smoothly, there may be a few small bumps along the way as our data is transferred and our team gets comfortable with the new system. We appreciate your patience and a little extra grace during this time!

🏃‍♀️✨ Shoutout to Our Amazing Marissa! ✨🏃‍♀️

One of our incredible veterinary assistants, Marissa, is currently taking on something truly extraordinary—The Speed Project: LA to Las Vegas! 🌵➡️🎰

For those who haven’t heard of it, The Speed Project is an unsanctioned, no-rules relay race spanning roughly 300+ miles from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. There’s no set course, no official stops—just teams navigating their own path through the desert, running day and night, pushing their limits both physically and mentally. It’s gritty, intense, and wildly inspiring 💪🔥

And Marissa is right in the middle of it!!

This is such an incredible accomplishment and speaks volumes about her determination, resilience, and drive—the same qualities we see every day in how she cares for our patients and supports our team ❤️🐾

What's her Why❓
"I have wanted to work in the veterinary field since I was a little girl. When I was young, my grandparents gave me a puppy, and we couldn’t afford to take her to the vet when she became sick. I felt helpless that I couldn’t do anything to help her. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to work in this industry to help pets.

I have stayed in veterinary medicine because I enjoy educating people and helping them care for their pets. My favorite part of my job is everything—from collecting samples and talking to clients to playing with puppies and watching them grow over time. I look forward to continuing my education, learning more, and growing in my career. "
