With Memorial Day and 4th of July around the corner, we know some pets may become distressed with fireworks and loud noises. Here are some suggestions to make the holiday a little less stressful for your fur baby:

- Make sure your dog's microchip information and tags are up-to-date.
- Designate a safe space in your home away from doors and windows, equipped with their favorite bed, blanket and toys.
- Provide plenty of exercise during the day to help them release energy.
- If possible, stay home during firework shows to provide comfort and reassurance.
- Create a calming environment by using music, television, or a sound machine to muffle the loud noise.
- Engage your pets with enrichment activities like puzzles and chews to keep their minds occupied.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding you pet's behavior, we recommend scheduling a consultation with a veterinarian prior to the holiday to offer personalized suggestions for your pet's needs.
