🐾 A Non-Negotiable at Rustic Acres 🐾
Before bringing home one of our kittens, there’s one thing we are very clear about:
We do not support declawing.
Declawing is not a routine nail trim. It involves removing part of each toe, which can affect how a cat balances, stretches, climbs, and interacts with the world around them.
At Rustic Acres, our kittens are raised as family, and keeping them fully clawed is a requirement for placement. There are many cat-friendly alternatives available, including scratching posts, regular nail trims, nail caps, and positive training.
This is one of the few policies that is a firm, non-negotiable part of our program.
