Well the season is over. Bo did an amazing job this year. For only hunting weekends his numbers were very good. Thanks to all my hunting companions for making this year one for the books. Also special thanks to Bo, Max, Jax and Major for all the hard work they did in picking up all those ducks this year. Bo, Max and Jax are all brothers and Major is the sire to those three studs out of West Fork Kennels. I can’t wait to work with these great dogs in the field next year along with a new pup or two.

We had such a blast in North Dakota. Did not limit out every day but it sure was fun. Very proud of Bo and Major for the hard work they put in retrieving for us. If you have kept up with some of my other post you know that Bo lost his sight in one eye. It was a little difficult on him in low light conditions which is understandable. But , when they landed in the reeds or weeds , even in thick stuff that you could not walk through , he would go in and come out with them. Major is just a stud. Rod has a special dog in him.
I would like to thank Lee,Kevin,Troy, Dan, for allowing us to hunt their farms or help us in getting permission on other farms and especially Dianne Moore for renting us a house for the week. Our trip could not be successful without all those involved. Rod, Monty and I sure do appreciate all the hospitality.

Now time to get ready for next year.

This ole boy has been out today in North Dakota
He lost the sight in his right eye earlier in the year. Has had to learn to adapt as have I. He handled like a true champ today. Very proud since this was his first hunt since losing sight in the one eye. We shall see what tomorrow has in store for us.
One thing for sure, Bo will do his part as long as I do mine.
