Some of you might recognize some familiar faces in this shoot! 🤩 After this, we knew we immediately had to start carrying (and serving) Bridger Bites at the ranch. The dogs went WILD for them!

Today at Prairie Paws, we celebrated a woman who made the world a little brighter simply by being herself—a woman I’ve admired and adored for as long as I can remember.

The dogs marked the occasion with Dolly style, wearing pink and blue bandannas, listening to Dolly Parton on the radio, enjoying pup cups, and watching a few Dolly movies in the bunkhouse. 🍿 Naturally, there was plenty of tail-wagging, and everyone seemed a little sassier in their bandannas! 💖

Dolly never seemed afraid to be exactly who she was. She taught us that kindness is strength, joy is worth sharing, and life is a whole lot better when you aren’t worried about what everyone else thinks. She made the world brighter through her generosity, humor, music, and unwavering commitment to helping others.

In honor of Dolly, Prairie Paws made a donation to one of my favorite Dolly programs, the Imagination Library. Reading has always been one of my favorite past times, and while there are a ton of places we could’ve donated that would’ve had Dolly’s stamp of approval, this one just felt right. 📚 🐾

You might think celebrating a country music legend with a pack of dogs in pink bandannas, pup cups, and Dolly songs is a little unconventional—but I think Dolly would have approved. She understood that small acts of kindness matter, happiness is meant to be shared, and making the world a little brighter is always worth it.

Thank you, Dolly, for reminding us to be ourselves, dream big, give generously, and never let anyone dull our sparkle.✨

This morning, to kick off National Dog Day, I shared the part I never get to see—the dogs I love with the people who love them most.

Tonight, I want to share the part I DO get to see every day.

Thank you to Haley Juhnke with Farm + Ranch Legacy Films for creating something that I will treasure forever. She captured not just Prairie Paws, but the heart behind it, and gave me a way to share it with all of you.

This one’s for the dogs. 🤎🐾

The Part I Never Get to See

Today is National Dog Day, and while I had originally hoped to have a whole collection of photos of Prairie Paws dogs with their people, this 90-degree heat and the high sun during drop-offs and pick-ups made that a little more challenging than I anticipated. 😆

But the two families who were able to get out on the prairie with me gave me something I didn’t even realize I needed…

I spend so much time with your dogs here at Prairie Paws. I get to know their personalities, their quirks, their favorite things, and all the little things that make them them.

But there’s one part I almost never get to see…

Them with you.

Getting out on the prairie with these families and their dogs gave me a little glimpse into that part of their lives—the way they look at each other, interact, explore together, and just be together.

And I didn’t realize quite how much I needed to see that.

I love your dogs and I’ll be honest, I’m a little possessive of them. 😂 They feel a bit like mine too. But seeing the bond they have with their people made me appreciate my little corner of their lives even more. 🥹

So today, I’m sharing these photos not because I have a huge gallery, but because these few moments were pretty darn special to me.

Happy National Dog Day to all of the dogs who have made their way through the Prairie Paws gates—and to their people who love them more than anything. 🤎

Thank you for letting me be a small part of their lives. 📸

We’re trying something a little different for the Thursday before Labor Day weekend!

For one day only, the Bunkhouse will be open self-serve, farm-stand style from 8 AM–6 PM. Stop by whenever it’s convenient, take a look around, and pick up a few good things for the holiday weekend.

Inside you’ll find a mix of Prairie Paws favorites and some new goodies, including:
