😻 Meet Adler and Shedd! 😻

These two peas-in-a-pod were left in a crate on our sidewalk a few weeks ago and have slowly been warming up to shelter life.

🌌 Adler - named for Chicago's planetarium, this sweet 1-year-old is an adventurer at heart! She is always happy to greet you at the door and plop down at your feet for head scratchies.

🌊 Shedd - serene like the depths of the ocean, this 3-year-old gal is a calm, steady presence in the bonding room. She would prefer to lounge in her bed and observe her visitors, always keeping an air of mystery about her.

Adler and Shedd would happily go home together, but can be adopted separately! If you're looking for a gorgeous cat (or two) to add to your family, stop by and meet these lovely ladies!

🌼 Daisy is still waiting...🌼

For nearly 3 months Daisy has been patiently looking for her forever family. Throughout her time with us we have treated her skin infection, performed corrective eyelid surgery, and fallen in love with Daisy more and more each day 🩷

Daisy's reports that she is super smart and playful, but her favorite activity is napping (ideally cuddled up to a human or fur-sibling). She still has plenty of puppy energy, but Daisy is doing great with potty training and walking nicely on a harness.

✨️ Daisy just needs a patient family to give her the time she needs and the love she deserves - could it be yours?

This little firecracker was recently brought in as a stray and, despite her small stature, she's making a big impact!

When someone asks us why we do the work we do, we could come up with a dozen replies. Sometimes, all we have to do is show them a photo like this.

Animals have no voice of their own. They cannot ask for help or tell us when they are hurting. But when they feel safe, loved, and cared for, we know 🩵

🩵HOMEWARD BOUND🩵

Some of our hoarding pups have started to leave for their furever homes! Please join us in congratulating the first few to leave: Ashley, Aria, and Alex 🏡

For many of the rest, we are still waiting for medical clearance before they can make their way home. As more of the animals are cleared for surgery, we will need additional clinic supplies to keep up with the volume of spay/neuter. Distilled water, thermometers, isopropyl alcohol and more can be found on our Amazon Wish List.

There are no words to describe the gratitude we have for our community over the last few weeks. Thanks to each and every contribution, we have been able to help dozens of animals and families in the aftermath of this shared trauma. We will continue to share stories and updates of the impact your support has had on so many.
