Happy Birthday to the resident muscle of our hospital 💪🐾

You spend your days saving animals, your free time crushing workouts, and somehow still have enough energy left to be kind to everyone! ~We might be starting to suspect she is secretly powered by puppy breath and pre-workout~

Kitten Season is in FULL SWING here at MVH!

If it feels like kittens are popping up ~everywhere~right now… you’re not imagining it! 🐱 This time of year brings an overwhelming number of litters into shelters, rescues, and neighborhoods. ONE unaltered cat can lead to dozens (even hundreds!) of kittens over time!

Spaying and neutering isn’t just about preventing unwanted litters though! These procedures also help:
🐾Reduce the number of homeless pets in our community
🐾Lower certain health risks and cancers
🐾Reduce spraying, roaming, and certain behavioral issues
🐾Keep your furry family members healthier and happier longer

Found kittens? Before scooping them up, remember: mama cats are often nearby and may simply be out searching for food. If the kittens appear safe and healthy, observe from a distance first!

Let’s work together to help reduce pet overpopulation - one toe bean at a time! 🐾💙

After a ~ruff~ competition and some seriously paw-some contenders, Jake has officially fetched the title of our VERY FIRST Mutt Madness Champion! 🐶👑

*JUST A REMINDER* In observance of Memorial Day, our hospital will be closed Monday, May 25th as we honor and remember those who served. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 26th from 8 AM to 5 PM.
