One-on-one grooming, in addition to giving your dog my undivided attention, allows time between each client to clean work spaces, equipment, and tools, so your pup is always welcomed into a safe and clean environment.

I never have and never will use AI to "clean up" my work. Every groom I style and post is a result of professional skill, good lighting, and a good camera. It is disheartening (and a little maddening) to see businesses advertise with fake computer generated visual depictions of their products/services. What you see is what you should get, and I am not in the business of deception! 💯

***PUBLIC ALERT***
We have received confirmation from the PA Game Commission of a stray cat in Ruffsdale that tested positive for rabies on 6/25/26. This cat did bite a dog and a human, who are both currently receiving treatment.

We would like to remind our clients and our community that rabies is a very real and present threat in our area, and urge you to update all your pets' and livestock's rabies vaccines ASAP.

Pennsylvania law requires all dogs and cats over 12 weeks of age to be current on their rabies vaccines. This includes barn cats, and stray cats that you may be feeding. Please check your paperwork for up-to-date rabies certificates to keep yourself legal. Remember, rabies can be spread to humans, and is fatal if contracted.

Please call our office if you have any questions about rabies, vaccines, rabies law, or want to schedule a vaccine appointment at 724-887-6820.

The more local animals that are vaccinated, the less the rabies virus will be able to spread in our community. Keep yourselves and our community safe!

Set your puppy up for success!
We recommend puppies experience professional grooming as early as possible, typically around 10 weeks old. This is important for every breed of dog, but especially breeds with more demanding grooming requirements such as doodles. This ensures a slow introduction in which puppies can experience all of the happenings of grooming and learn to know them as a part of life and not as an occasional stressful occurrence. As always, you should also be brushing and combing at home to further socialize your puppy with grooming.
A first puppy groom is not a full haircut, but usually what we call a face, feet, and sani trim: clipping/filing nails, shaving the pads and trimming around the paws, sani area, and around the eyes and sometimes mouth. Bailor here actually fell asleep whilst her face was being trimmed 💗
Introducing your puppy to grooming early, whether at home or at the salon, is the best way to ensure your puppy forms a positive association with grooming.
