Exciting News: We Are Adding Another Veterinarian!

Sara Kelly, DVM

Dr. Sara Kelly, a University of Minnesota graduate, is thrilled to join MVAH as a veterinarian. Having previously worked as a veterinary assistant at our facility, she is delighted to continue serving our patients. Her professional interests include all aspects of preventative pet healthcare, with a particular emphasis on dentistry and behavior. Outside of work, Dr. Kelly enjoys spending time with her fiancé, two dogs, Snickers and Sadie, as well as reading and traveling.

She will commence her new role on June 2nd.

Mother's Day is this coming weekend, and that means there will most likely be flowers around the house. Flowers are aesthetically pleasing, but depending on the type, they can be highly toxic to our furry, four-legged family members if they lick, rub, or chew on them. Therefore, when selecting houseplants, plants for outside, and especially bouquets, it is essential to ensure the flowers are safe for your pets. In the event of flower ingestion, it is crucial to call the Pet Poison Hotline and seek emergency treatment for your pet.

We are adding to our Veterinary team!

Please welcome Dr. Jordan Potthoff to our staff!!

Dr. Potthoff received her DVM degree from the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. She is passionate about exotic pets, preventative medicine, and surgery. She lives in Lino Lakes with her husband Carter and 2 cats, Taxi and Maximus. In her free time, Dr. Potthoff enjoys costuming, video games, and bird watching with her husband.

She will be starting on April 1st!
