Introducing a baby White-handed gibbon, born to parents Maya and Erawan on February 26! This little one is the zoo's first gibbon birth in 10 years. 😍

White-handed gibbons are endangered apes native to Southeast Asia, known for their incredible agility and melodic calls. They live in monogamous pairs, and both males and females can have either black or tan fur. 🌏

We haven't confirmed the baby’s s*x just yet (mom’s been keeping it close), so no name yet, but the baby is healthy, growing, and starting to explore.

The baby’s been on habitat since birth, but now that it’s growing, it’s easier to spot! Keep an eye out on your next visit.
