Paws & Claws offers luxury boarding, doggie daycare and professional grooming services. We want to provide your pet a positive grooming experience that will make him or her enjoy their special spa day. Providing your pet with a stylish yet easily maintainable cut is our specialty! Have a pet that is full of energy or is lonely during the day and needs some social time? Our doggie daycare is the pe

rfect place for your fur children to socialize with other pets of similar energy levels. Our luxury suites provide a home away from home for when your pet cannot travel with you. Each pet will have his or her own suite with a full glass door that protects them from other guests but still allows them to see out no matter how small. We make sure all our guests get lots of potty and play time in our play yard, at least 5-6 times a day! The Pet Village has 10 suites, an outdoor potty area and two indoor play areas so that your pet gets plenty of exercise and time outside. We're excited to introduce our NEW playcare program, TLC. As SILVER MUZZLES progressed, we recognized the needs of young and middle aged dogs who are anxious, fearful, socially selective, or simply need a more calm, individually tailored routine. This program is designed for dogs who need compassionate, dog specific supports. These can include confidence walks, desensitization and counterconditioning for those who need, scent work, puzzles, and other activities to promote relaxation, making good choices and group manners.

This is Luke, and he is truly one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. Before rescue, Luke endured things no dog ever should. He was used as a bait dog, his teeth were painfully ground down and broken, and despite everything he survived with the gentlest soul. After being rescued, he spent EIGHT YEARS in foster care waiting for someone to choose him. Eight years of watching other dogs get adopted while he kept hoping his turn would come. Then Luke came to board with us and that’s when his perfect matches, Kenzie and Zach, fell completely in love with him. Luke wears a muzzle, not because he’s “dangerous” or aggressive, but because responsible owners use tools that help set dogs up for success. A muzzle is a safety tool, that’s it. Saying a dog is dangerous because they wear a muzzle is like saying someone is a bad driver because they wear a seatbelt!
There are so many reasons a dog may wear a muzzle:
• Safety during introductions or stressful situations
• Preventing scavenging or eating harmful things off the ground
• Vet visits or grooming appointments
• Managing anxiety or fear responses
• Protecting a dog who has a traumatic past
• Giving owners peace of mind while continuing training and socialization
Good muzzles are designed to allow dogs to pant, drink water, take treats, and function comfortably while keeping everyone safe. In fact, muzzle training is recommended by many trainers and veterinarians because it creates safer environments for both dogs and humans. Dogs like Luke deserve compassion, not judgment. The muzzle doesn’t define him, his heart does. And Luke’s heart is full of love, resilience, and trust despite everything humans put him through. Rescue dogs are not broken. Sometimes they just need understanding, patience, management tools, and someone willing to see beyond their past.
