❤️🐾 SOFIE STRONG — ONE DAY, ONE STEP, ONE LITTLE VICTORY AT A TIME! 🐾❤️
Our little warrior continues to fight, and she has quite the army standing beside her!
Sofie is currently receiving around-the-clock care in the loving hands of our amazing veterinarian, Dr. G. ❤️
We are not out of the woods yet, but one thing is certain… Sofie has not given up, and neither have we!
Her fever continues to fluctuate, and her battle with pneumonia is far from over. But we are celebrating the little victories along the way!
🐾 She’s eating! Now, mind you, our little princess has decided that ONLY boiled chicken will do! 👑🐔 And you know what? If that’s what she wants, that’s what she gets!
🐾 She’s receiving subcutaneous fluids and taking her medications.
🐾 She’s getting outside several times a day to enjoy some fresh air.
🐾 And most importantly, she’s still showing us that fighting spirit we have come to love!
And then there’s Dr. G. ❤️
Some people simply go above and beyond, and she is one of those special people. Not only is she providing Sofie with the medical care she desperately needs, but she has also made sure our girl has a safe, comfortable place to rest and recover.
Sofie even has a new friend named Andy, Dr. G’s husband, who keeps a watchful eye on her while she hangs out in his office.
Talk about having your own personal cheering squad! 🥰
There is something incredibly special about people who open their hearts and go the extra mile for an animal fighting for another tomorrow. And…Wendy Leasch never stopped until you were in safe arms.
Sofie is fighting the pneumonia battle, but she isn’t fighting alone.
Behind this little girl is an army of people who believe in her, love her, and refuse to give up hope.
We don’t know what tomorrow will bring, but today she ate her chicken, enjoyed the fresh air, and reminded us that she is still fighting.
And today, that is enough. ❤️
