✨️Riley and Chi Chi(stay tuned for more info on Chi Chi! She is from the recent chihuahua hoarding case and will be available soon) had some playtime this morning, and once again we found ourselves asking: **How is Riley still not adopted?**🤔

Riley is an approximately 6-month-old, 35lb, Texas Heinz 57 mix who is as cute as can be and full of personality! She's house-trained, crate-trained, fully vetted, and packed with s***k.

Her ideal family will be active and ready for adventures, because Riley loves to romp, explore, and play. But when the fun is over, she's happiest curled up next to her people for a good cuddle.

🐾 Meet Gizmo 🐾

This tiny guy weighs in at just around 6 pounds, but his heart is huge! 💙

Gizmo’s current owner took him in from a family friend who could no longer care for him. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond their control, Gizmo is once again searching for a place to call home.

At 6 years old, this full-blooded Yorkshire Terrier has his whole life ahead of him. With his beautiful long coat and sweet personality, he’s sure to steal your heart. 🥰

Gizmo is fully house trained and does great with little dogs. He is not a fan of larger dogs, so a home with small canine companions (or as an only dog) would be best for him.

He is very shy and timid when meeting new people and will need a patient family willing to give him time to adjust. But once he trusts you, he becomes incredibly attached to his person and loves being close to whoever spends the most time with him. 💙

🚨 Foster Homes Needed for Dot & Dash! 🚨

Meet Dot and Dash, two adorable puppies looking for foster homes so we can bring them into rescue!

🐾 Dot (tan female) – 7.6 lbs
🐾 Dash (black male) – 13 lbs
🐾 Approximately 12 weeks old

Their dad weighs about 28 pounds, and both parents resemble Dandie Dinmont Terriers. Mom is black, and dad is tan. Based on their current size, they should stay in the small-to-medium size range when fully grown.

Dot and Dash do NOT have to be fostered together, but we do need a foster for each puppy in order to bring them to safety.

They have had first round of shots, prevention and dewormer.

🐾 This weekend we welcomed two more pups from the hoarding case at BARC into our rescue! 🐾

These sweet dogs have been through so much and are now beginning their journey of learning what it means to be a loved family pet. They are settling into foster care, where they’ll receive the medical care, patience, and kindness they need while they learn to trust, heal, and prepare for their forever homes.

Our amazing foster could use a few supplies to help care for them, including:

🐾 Meet Henry 🐾

Henry is one of the lucky dogs we pulled from BARC yesterday after the heartbreaking surrender of 80 dogs from a severe hoarding situation.

Like many of the dogs from this case, Henry arrived missing much of his hair due to neglect and poor living conditions. But despite everything he’s been through, his sweet spirit shines through. With proper medical care, good nutrition, and lots of love, we know Henry is going to be looking and feeling amazing in no time.

Right now, Henry is focusing on healing, learning that people can be kind, and enjoying the comforts of a safe foster home. We can’t wait to share his transformation journey with all of you!

🚨 Transport Help Needed for Some Very Special Rescues! 🚨

We tagged a few more pups from the BARC hoarding case, and now we need help getting them to safety! ❤️

We are looking for a volunteer transporter to help get these sweet dogs from BARC to The Woodlands. An even bigger help would be a transporter who could take them all the way from BARC to Schulenburg, where their foster is waiting.

These dogs have been through so much already, and every mile gets them one step closer to a safe, loving environment where they can begin to heal and learn what it means to be cared for.

🚨 BARC Hoarding Case 🚨

On Wednesday, BARC sent out an urgent plea for help after taking in what was believed to be 30 small breed dogs from a hoarding situation. When animal control arrived, they discovered the heartbreaking reality — there were actually 80 dogs living in terrible conditions.

Many of these dogs are suffering from severe hair loss due to fleas and mange, and several have tested heartworm positive. Despite everything they’ve endured, they are sweet souls who deserve a chance at a better life.

Who Rescued Who Texas stepped up and tagged 4 of these dogs. Three left the shelter today and the fourth is scheduled to leave tomorrow. Unfortunately, one of the dogs we tagged has already been placed on the euthanasia list for tomorrow, highlighting just how urgent this situation is.

We would love to help more of these dogs, but we simply cannot do it without foster homes. Every foster that steps up allows us to save another life.

The dogs we pulled will need extra time and care as they recover, regrow their coats, receive medical treatment, and learn that humans can be kind and trustworthy.

💕 Meet Chloe! 💕

Chloe is a sweet French Bulldog mix who was found as a stray a few months ago. Thankfully, those days are behind her, and now she’s fully vetted and ready to find the loving forever home she deserves!

At about 1½ years old and 12 pounds, Chloe is the perfect size for just about any home. Whether you’re looking for a family companion or a buddy for a quieter household, Chloe fits right in. She loves to play and have fun, but once playtime is over, she’s more than happy to curl up on the couch for snuggles and a cozy nap.

Chloe has been living in a foster home with five other dogs and does great with them. She is also great with kids and enjoys being part of the action. Chloe is kennel trained and sleeps quietly in her kennel at night. Her foster mom reports that Chloe does well with potty training when taken outside regularly and will go to the door when she needs to go out.

Sweet, affectionate, and easygoing, Chloe is ready to find a family of her own to love.

Willie still needs a short term foster! 🙏🏻

Willie needs a foster from this weekend until around July 2nd. His current foster mom will be traveling so he needs somewhere else to crash!

He is a 1 year old Chihuahua or Rat Terrier mix, neutered, 9 pounds, friendly with people and other dogs. And super cute!! 🥰

He is currently in the Woodlands, TX
