🍄Maggie is a vet assistant who has worked at Blue Ridge for almost 2 years
🐶Maggie has a 4 year old doodle mix named Betty White and a 3 year old black cat named Prince “Fiyero” Tigelar of Winky Country
💉Maggie’s favorite thing about working in vet med is getting to see pets get better in real time. When they come to us and have a long road ahead, there is nothing more satisfying than seeing them happy and healthy at the end of the road and knowing that you played a small part in making that life better!
🎬Maggie’s fun fact is that she LOVES documentaries! The weirder the better. She also loves to bake!
🐮Maggie’s favorite breed of dog is a German Shepherd and her favorite animal is a cow!

🩺🩸BLOOD DONOT SPOTLIGHT 🩸🩺

A big thank you to Dixon and The Humane Shelter of Elmore County for donating blood!

Dixon was such a good boy for his blood draw and was a sweetheart the rest of the day!
His blood was used for a blood transfusion for a dog that needed a splenectomy and that dog is doing great today thanks to Dixon!
Dixon is available for adoption and if you would like more info on him, please check out their website or go visit him at The Humane Society of Elmore County!

2025 Dentistry Wrapped

Dr. Busby has extra certifications for dentistry and we do a lot of dentals every year! We love our dental patients here and we take pride in making every pet’s smile that much cuter.
We also do lots of polls on our “Tech Girl Board” and our current one is on how many teeth has Dr. Busby pulled this year! We would love to hear your guesses as well!

Thursday’s 📣Top 📣Dawg 📣

Everyone meet Shannon!
🧬 She has worked at Blue Ridge Animal Clinic for over 3 years and is currently working on her master's in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
🐶 Shannon has three dogs! They are Snow(Siberian husky mix), Bae (Siberian husky), and Eve (German Shepherd/great pyrenees).
🩺 Her favorite thing about working in vet med is learning something or seeing something new everyday. The veterinarians here at Blue Ridge rarely turn away cases, even the most difficult/complex ones, and we get the opportunity to learn from and care for these animals like they are our own. Sometimes they even are our own. 😅
💉 Shannon’s Fun fact: I served 5 years in the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. I get the opportunity to occasionally gross out or shock my coworkers with my experiences from human medicine and the military in general.
🦕 Shannon says that If it isn't obvious, she does love a husky. They are usually full of personality and sassy in all the best ways. She has full list of other breeds she would like to have in her lifetime of course, most of them large breeds (mastiff, great dane, LGD, etc).

Everyone meet Phoenix🐕‍🦺…. Just kidding😅, it’s Elizabeth🩷. You’ll almost always find them together though🤷🏼‍♀️💞.
*🪄Elizabeth has been the manager at Blue Ridge Animal Clinic for the past 23 years🙀.
*She & her husband have 7 dogs🐕‍🦺🐶🐶🐕🐺🦮🐶, 2 of which were her moms🥹.
*⚕️Her favorite things about veterinary medicine are- puppy breath🐟, ‘difficult’ dogs🐕🤗, pharmacy💊, & helping pets for our local humane society❤️‍🩹.
*Elizabeth’s favorite hobbies (besides dogs) include fashion👗, supporting the arts🪉🎨🎞️, concerts🎤🎵, decorating🖼️🏺, amusement parks 🎪🎈🎢🍡🎠🏰, & thrifting🛍️.
*🗞️She has too many favorite breeds to list but her top fave is a Skye Terrier & her 2nd fave is ‘Rescued’.
