Radiographs (X-rays) help us evaluate bones, joints, and internal structures to better understand pain, limping, injury, or disease. They give our veterinary team important information so we can diagnose accurately and create the best treatment plan for your pet. 🩺✨

Because of their airway structure, they can be more sensitive to heat, exercise, stress, and anesthesia. You may notice louder breathing, snoring, or quicker fatigue.

Simple things help keep them safe:
💧 Plenty of water
🌤️ Avoid heat and overexertion
🚶‍♀️ Short, easy walks

It’s a bacterial infection that can affect dogs and is also zoonotic, meaning it can spread to people.

Leptospirosis is commonly found in:
🌧️ Standing water, puddles, and muddy areas
🐀 Areas with wildlife or rodents
🌿 Parks, trails, and backyard environments

Pets can be exposed simply by drinking or walking through contaminated water.

The good news — prevention is available! 💉
We recommend vaccination for dogs at risk, along with avoiding stagnant water when possible and maintaining good hygiene practices outdoors.

Heat safety is so important for our furry family members this time of year. Here are a few simple ways to help keep pets safe in the heat:

💧 Always provide fresh water
🌳 Limit outdoor activity during peak heat hours
🐾 Avoid hot pavement — if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws!
🚗 Never leave pets in parked vehicles
❄️ Watch for signs of overheating like excessive panting, drooling, weakness, or vomiting

When in doubt, keep them cool and indoors! ❤️
