Monroeville Animal Shelter We provide full service animal control for Dog, Cats, and all kinds of wildlife for Monroeville and P (412) 856-3355 or Emergency (412) 856-1111.

A full-time animal control officer is responsible for enforcing ordinances pertaining to animals and collecting domestic and non-domestic animals during regular working hours. He is also on call 24-hours a day for emergencies that pertain to domestic animals such as dogs and cats. Dog License: State law requires you to license your dog by three months of age. You can pick up a dog license applicat

ion at the municipal building or at the Monroeville Public Works Building. The Shelter is staffed by volunteers and is by Appointment ONLY.. All animals available will be posted on petfinder.com and an application MUST be filed out and approved prior to a meet and greet.. Monroeville Animal Shelter is now a 501(c)(3) and accepting donations thru the Monroeville Foundation. If you would like to donate check out their website at www.MonroevilleFoundation.org. We had such a great day at the Say It Once Dog Derby! 🐾

The dogs that attended from the shelter did AMAZING, and we couldn’t be more proud of them! They met so many new canine friends, received lots of pets and kisses, and did an awesome job in the actual derby!

We also had the chance to meet so many amazing families and other rescues throughout the day. And of course, our pups had more than enough ice cream treats to keep them happy! 🍦🐶

Sox was an extra lucky guy and even got groomed by a wonderful lady who offers mobile grooming services. She did such an amazing job on him! We’ll attach her card below if you’re looking for a special grooming service for your pup. (Card in comment section)!!!!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, showed our dogs some love, and helped make today such a fun experience for them! ❤️

🐾Sunday, August 30th from 8 AM–3 PM! 🐾

The Monroeville Animal Shelter is excited to be taking part in this event this year! We’ll have a booth set up, and a few of our shelter dogs will even be joining in on the derby! 🐶

“ADOPT ME! Hi my name is Turner! I'm a sweet girl who is approximately two years old and I spent one of those two years in a kennel. I'm extremely dog friendly and look forward saying hello anytime one of my canine friends walks by. My photographer thought I had the perfect downward dog pose, which I'll happily do for treats and bum rubs! I have the most unique coat. I love going for walks and spending time with my canine friends, so another dog in the home would be a bonus for me! Sadly I've had no interest, and I would really love for someone to give me a chance. Please come meet me at the Monroeville Animal Shelter. I'm house trained, spayed, vaccinated! Cats are unknown.“

A little late posting this, but our adorable Demi, now known as Nova, has found her forever home! ♥️

Jen and her daughter Tristen came to the shelter one evening to make a donation, not knowing Tristen would fall in love with a kitten who just so happened to arrive earlier that morning!

Mom went home, thought about it, and agreed to adopt! Tristen is over the moon in love with her new fur baby, and Nova is doing amazing in her new home.

Thank you, Jen, for being an amazing mom and saying yes! 😂

Happy forever, sweet Nova! ♥️
