We want to give a huge thank you to Whisker Wonderland Cat Lounge for taking on the care of this sweet kitten with no hesitation!

Yesterday, Milan picked her up after being told her back legs were not working. He immediately took her to the vet for an exam and their opinion. After being checked over, the veterinarians said this little girl has hope — she is young and still has so much life ahead of her.

Milan brought her back to the shelter, but knowing we were not able to provide the level of care she needed, he started making calls. Whisker Wonderland Cat Lounge was the first call he made, and the woman he spoke with agreed right away to take this kitten in.

Now named Pickles, her journey has officially begun. You can follow Whisker Wonderland Cat Lounge on Facebook to keep up with her story. Pickles will need a few things along the way, and donations are always appreciated if you would like to help.

Thank you again, Whisker Wonderland Cat Lounge, for your hard work, love, and kindness. We are so grateful for you! ❤️🐾

What do I do when I get a call from Monroeville Animal Control (who are amazing btw) asking me if I would be willing to take on a kitten who can't use her back legs??? I say YES 🫠🫠🫠 I have a wait list a mile long, but when an urgent case like this comes up, I jump in to help. Meet Pickle! She was found scooting around outside, unable to use her back legs, much like Charms. She is about 8 weeks old and was already assessed by the vet who said she is worth a shot. She will be coming to live at the lounge tomorrow!!!

So this is where I am calling on my insanely supportive community: I am gonna need more washable p*e pads, more food, funds for supportive care for this little champ. If you are able to donate to the "Pickle Fund", even if it's just a few dollars, it will help more than you know!!!! This little girl deserves a chance, just like Charms.

Thank you for all the support and kindness! If you can't donate, even just sending some positive words will make a difference to me!! Love you all 🥰🌈🍄✨🌸

Leave Them Alone, they will be hitting the ground any day now. As more people stay home, or are out exploring nearby, the chances of seeing a "lost fawn" increase.

We want to remind you that the fawn is NOT lost or abandoned and is only waiting for Mom to return. Please leave it alone. Do not attempt to relocate, remove or rescue the fawn. Not only is it a bad idea, it's also illegal.

Naturally, the doe will leave her fawn(s) alone for their first few weeks except for brief periods when she is nursing or grooming them. Fawns are protected from predators by lying motionless much of the day with their protective coloration and minimal odor.

This handsome boy was adopted earlier in the week! Boo, now known as Joker, came into the shelter as quite the grumpy guy. He would hiss and swat at the staff during feeding and cage cleaning, and it was clear he was scared and unsure.

After months of patience, kindness, and showing him we were there to help, Joker finally started to come around. We were all shocked the day he began rubbing up on his cage asking for pets. Even though we were a little hesitant at first, we gave him the love he had been longing for all along.

From that moment on, he became one of the sweetest boys in the shelter — giving kisses, head bumps, loving to be held, and soaking up every bit of affection he could get. Seeing his transformation was incredibly special, and we knew he was finally ready for his forever home.

Joker now has a new mom and dad, along with a new cat sister to keep him company! Thank you, Mayah, for choosing this special boy to be part of your family and for giving him the loving home he deserves. ❤️ Happy forever, Joker! 🐾
