🚨 RABIES ALERT – WALTON COUNTY 🚨
Our clinic has recently confirmed a rabies-positive cat in Walton County. Rabies is a fatal virus that can affect pets, wildlife, and humans.
Please take this as an important reminder to vaccinate your dogs, cats, and ferrets and keep their rabies vaccines current.
⚠️ What you should do:
• Make sure your pets are up to date on their rabies vaccine
• Avoid contact with stray or wild animals
• Report animals acting strangely (aggression, drooling, staggering)
• If you or your pet may have been exposed, seek medical or veterinary care immediately
Rabies is 100% preventable with vaccination.
