If you come across wildlife that may be injured or orphaned, remember: not every baby animal is abandoned. Observe from a safe distance first and keep pets and children away. ❤️

If the animal is clearly injured, bleeding, unable to move, or attacked by another animal, contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitator immediately. Avoid feeding or giving water, and never attempt to raise wildlife yourself.

🎓🐾 Student Spotlight: Welcome Jess! 🐾🎓

Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting Jess, a senior veterinary student extern from University of Georgia, as she completed some of her clinical hours with our team! 🩺✨

During her time with us, Jess had the opportunity to experience a variety of cases, including wellness visits, sick appointments, and even time in surgery observing procedures and patient care firsthand. From preventative medicine to hands-on clinical learning, we loved getting to share a glimpse into the day-to-day world of veterinary medicine. 🐶🐱

At Happy Tails Veterinary Care, we truly value supporting veterinary education and helping future veterinary professionals grow their confidence and skills. The sense of community, mentorship, and passion for animal care that comes with teaching is something we are incredibly proud to be part of. ❤️

🐾✨ Case Spotlight: Meet Rebel! ✨🐾

This week, we had the honor of helping sweet Rebel, a rescue from Canine Pet Rescue, when she needed an emergency C-section to safely deliver her puppies. ❤️

Our team moved quickly to give Rebel the urgent care she needed, and thanks to everyone working together, mom and babies received the support and monitoring they deserved every step of the way. 🩺🐶

Momma Rebel was an absolute trooper, and we can’t deny that the newborn puppy snuggles were a pretty special bonus for our staff too. 🥹🐾

We are so grateful for the opportunity to help rescue pets like Rebel and support organizations that work tirelessly to give animals a second chance.

In observance of Memorial Day, our office will be closed on Monday, May 26th. We honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. ❤️🤍💙

We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday. If your pet experiences an emergency while we are closed, please contact your nearest emergency veterinary hospital.
