🎃🐈‍⬛ NO TRICKS, JUST TREATS… AND TWO BOYS DREAMING OF A FOREVER HOME! 🧡👻

After a long, exhausting day of greeting visitors, collecting pets, and soaking up all the love they can get, Domino and Oreo like to stretch out and relax around the shelter office. ❤️🐾

It’s a tough job being this adorable! 😹

But when the office gets quiet and these two sweet brothers close their eyes, we can’t help but wonder what they’re dreaming about.

We think they’re dreaming of a HOME. 🥹💔

You see, all day long, people come through the doors, stop to love on them, scratch their heads, and tell them how sweet they are. And we wonder if Domino and Oreo are thinking…

“Is this the person who’s finally going to take us home?” 🏡❤️

But then the visitors leave, the doors close, and these two boys are still here.

🎃 MEET OUR TWO HALLOWEEN SWEETHEARTS!

🐾 Domino is 7 years old.

🐾 Oreo is 4 years old.

🧡 They’re brothers who have so much love to give!

💕 They absolutely LOVE attention and affection.

🐶 They get along with dogs!

👻 And the only thing spooky about these boys is how quickly they’ll steal your heart!

Domino and Oreo are now staying at our main shelter location on Vincennes Trail. There were just too many cats at the Oasis, and the busy environment was stressful for them. These sweet boys are much happier in a calmer setting where they can relax and enjoy the attention they love so much.

They don’t need a haunted mansion or a fancy castle. They just want a peaceful home, a comfy couch, and someone to love them. 🧡

This Halloween, while everyone else is dreaming of candy and treats, Domino and Oreo are dreaming of something even sweeter…

A FAMILY TO CALL THEIR OWN! 🎃❤️

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the next person who walks through our doors to love on these boys is the one who says, “You’re coming home with me!” 🥹

🎃💔 SUGAR HAS HAD ENOUGH TRICKS… IT’S TIME FOR SOME TREATS! 🐾🧡

Just look at that face. 🥺❤️

That little sad lip. Those big, soulful eyes. If only Sugar could talk, we imagine she’d have some pretty scary stories to tell.

And we’re guessing this sweet girl has had a whole lot more TRICKS than TREATS in her life. 💔

Someone abandoned Sugar on the streets. Just left her behind, as though she didn’t matter.

But here’s the amazing thing about Sugar…

Whatever happened to her, it never took away her love for people. ❤️

She’s still one of the kindest, sweetest girls you could meet. She hasn’t given up on people, even though someone gave up on her.

🎃 And don’t let that sad little face fool you!

🐾 Sugar gets along with other dogs!

🧡 She’s a quiet, gentle girl.

🎾 She loves playing with her toys!

🍂 She has a wonderful time running around the yard.

💨 And WOW, can this girl RUN! She’s got some serious speed when she gets going!

But then she stops, looks at you with that little pouty lip, and our hearts just melt. 🥹

Sometimes we wish Sugar could tell us everything she’s been through. But then again, maybe we really don’t want to know. Some stories are better left in the past.

Because Sugar’s past isn’t what matters anymore. Her FUTURE is. ❤️

👻 No more scary nights.

🎃 No more being abandoned.

🧡 No more wondering if anyone cares.

🏡 Just a warm home, a soft bed, toys to play with, a yard to run in, and someone who will love her forever.

Sugar has had enough tricks in her lifetime. From here on out, we want nothing but TREATS for this beautiful girl! 🍬🐾

🎃👻 TRICK OR TREAT? MARLEY & COCOA ARE TWO TREATS YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS! 🧡🐾

This Halloween, Marley & Cocoa aren’t looking for candy, costumes, or spooky adventures. They’re wishing for something much more special… a forever home where they can stay together. ❤️🏡

💔 Their story might just break your heart.

Marley & Cocoa came to River Valley Animal Rescue last week after their beloved Dad passed away. He had raised them since they were babies. For five years, he was their whole world, and they were his.

His daughter lovingly took them in, hoping to give them the forever home they deserved. Unfortunately, her two German Shepherds weren’t accepting of the little newcomers. It absolutely broke her heart, but she knew surrendering them to us was the safest and kindest decision.

Now these two little sweethearts are trying to understand why their whole world has changed. 🥺

They’ve lost their Dad, their home, and everything familiar to them. So yes, they may be a little shy and nervous when you first meet them. But underneath those worried little faces are two of the sweetest, gentlest dogs you could ever hope to meet! ❤️

🎃 MEET OUR LITTLE HALLOWEEN TREATS!

🐾 Marley & Cocoa are 5-year-old Doxie/Corgi mixes.

🧡 They’re brother and sister.

🐶 They get along with other dogs.

👧 They’re good with children.

💕 They’re incredibly sweet, gentle, and loving.

❤️ And here’s the most important part: THEY MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER!

These two are extremely bonded. Cocoa simply will not go anywhere without her brother Marley. They’ve already lost the person they loved most. We will not let them lose each other, too.

👻 They’ve already had enough scares to last a lifetime.

This Halloween, we want to replace their sadness with happiness, their uncertainty with security, and their empty hearts with a family who will love them both.

They don’t need a fancy home. They don’t need a big Halloween celebration. They just need a warm couch, a little patience, lots of love, and someone who will promise them they’ll never have to say goodbye to each other. 🏡❤️

🎃🐾 NO MORE SCARY DAYS FOR MOMMA RUE! 🧡👻

This Halloween, our sweet little Momma Rue has just one wish… a forever home where she never has to be afraid again. 🏡❤️

Back in August, Momma Rue arrived at River Valley Animal Rescue with her tiny babies, who weren’t even a week old. 💔 They had come from an abusive home, and this precious mama was absolutely terrified of everything and everyone.

We immediately placed her and her babies in a loving foster home, where she could finally feel safe.

And what a transformation we’ve seen! 🥹❤️

The scared little girl who once didn’t know whom to trust has blossomed into the sweetest, most loving little Doxie!

🎃 Here’s what makes Momma Rue such a treat!

🐾 She’s approximately 2–3 years old.

🧡 She LOVES sitting in your lap and getting belly rubs!

🎾 She enjoys playing with her ball.

🐶 She gets along with other dogs.

💕 She’s a wonderful little companion who just wants to love and be loved.

Momma Rue has come such a long way, but she still carries a few fears from her past. Sudden movements can frighten her, so her perfect forever home would be a quieter household with older children or no children.

She’s not looking for a haunted house full of tricks. She’s looking for a peaceful home full of treats, belly rubs, and unconditional love! 🎃❤️

Momma Rue spent the beginning of her journey protecting her babies. Now it’s HER turn to have someone protect and love her.

🎃🐾 TRICK OR TREAT? ALTHEA IS THE SWEETEST TREAT OF ALL! 🧡🍬

Meet Althea, our beautiful 5½-year-old girl who has decided she’s at the perfect age to enjoy the finer things in life! ❤️

While the younger pups might want to run around collecting Halloween candy, Althea would much rather hang out on the porch, help you pass out treats, and then curl up on the couch for a spooky movie marathon! 🎃🍿

Don’t get us wrong, Althea enjoys a nice walk and is GREAT on a leash! 🐕 But she’s a mature lady who doesn’t need constant entertainment or endless exercise. A little fresh air, some yummy treats, and a comfy place beside her favorite person? Now THAT’S her idea of a perfect Halloween! 🧡

Althea can be selective about her canine friends, so proper introductions are important. But when it comes to being a loyal, loving, laid-back companion, this girl is the FULL PACKAGE! ❤️

At 5½ years old, she’s past those crazy puppy days and ready for something much better — a family to love and a home to call her own.

👻 The scariest thing about Althea’s Halloween? The thought of another holiday passing without a family of her own. 💔

BOO! 👻 It’s me, ROSCOE! And I’ve got a Halloween wish that has nothing to do with candy, costumes, or pumpkins.

I JUST WANT A FAMILY OF MY OWN! 🏡❤️

I’ve been waiting at River Valley Animal Rescue for MONTHS now, watching other dogs find their happily-ever-afters. Don’t get me wrong, everyone here is wonderful to me, but isn’t it about time this little pumpkin got picked, too? 🎃🥹

Let me tell you why I’d make the PERFECT little treat!

🐾 I’m the perfect little size! Small enough to be your cuddle buddy, but I’ve still got plenty of s***k left in me!

🎾 I LOVE to play fetch! Throw that ball, and let’s have some fun!

🐕 I’m a ladies’ man! I absolutely LOVE girl dogs! Boy dogs make me nervous, though, so I’d prefer a home without any male canine competition.

🐈 Cats? No problem! I can share my kingdom with a kitty!

🍁 Walks? I’m great on a leash and would love to explore the neighborhood with you!

❤️ Cuddles? Oh, you bet! I’m the perfect combination of playful little rascal and snuggly couch companion!

Hi, everyone! My name is Arwen, and I’m a handsome 6–7-month-old Cattle Dog mix hoping to work a little Halloween magic and find myself a family! 🏡❤️

I’m still just a puppy, which means I’m full of love, energy, and personality! I absolutely LOVE playing with my toys, going for walks, and meeting new people. I’m already doing great on a leash, and I’m a real social butterfly at adoption events! 🐾
