I’m a stickler for proper, safe, supervised, dog-to-dog introductions. Socialization means positive experiences, not just exposure to new things. 💜🐾🐾

We had an adorable puppy visitor with her parents today. These new puppy parents needed like-minded owners and healthy, stable dogs to properly socialize their new family member. We had a wonderful visit.

I’m so happy these puppy parents reached out to us instead of taking their puppy to a dog park. 💜🐾🐾

Let me know if you’d like to participate in another group walk. You can use the walk as part of your FIT DOG Title, you can buy medals directly from AKC when they are available, and/or you can just come out and walk with us. we will choose a date based on what works for the most of us. ♥️🇺🇸💙

Star-Spangled Scurry
AKC FIT DOG participants are really enjoying the runs/walks including the Turkey Trot and Spring Scurry. The medals consistently sell out.

We are pleased to tell you that this year, in honor of America’s 250th birthday, we will be having the AKC FIT DOG Star-Spangled Scurry. The run/walk rules will be the same as the Spring Scurry; this will be a 5K that you can do in a group or on your own with your dog. You may walk and take breaks or divide the 5K (3.1 miles) into multiple sessions.

We will tell you when the medals arrive.

So proud of our Bravo! She’s working on switching therapy organizations and had her first assessment and visit this weekend. She was able to calm down and comfort a stressed dog that was attacked by another dog and experiencing some trauma. Bravo laid down and was calm. The other dog came to her and was able to lie down near her. HUGE accomplishment for Bravo! We are proud of her. Celebratory ice cream for all! 💜💜💜💜🐾🐾
