One year ago today,
Goldens and Hounds Grooming Salon opened its doors in Mokena. Over the past year, I’ve met truly incredible people, a few challenging ones, and countless four-legged friends who have left their mark on this journey.
I’ve learned that you can create the life you want if you are willing to put in the work, that there will always be people who try to pull you down or take advantage of the work you put in, and that staying true to yourself is the key to making everything work out in the end. This business has given me a new perspective on independence, responsibility, and a sense of freedom that truly is a blessing.
It has been a wake-up call in more ways than one, showing me that growth often comes through challenges, and that every experience, good or bad, is a lesson that shapes both your life and your work. I've learned that everyone with a friendly face isn't always your friend, and that you HAVE to make sure you turn the water off when filling the mop bucket.
Here’s to year two, to new lessons, new friendships, and more tails to chase, even if they are our own.
