Good evening folks! Now that the kitten from Merced is safely down on the ground, we need the community’s help to find her forever home. We canvassed the area and went door to door searching for a possible owner, but had no luck.

She is now being rehomed by our wonderful friends at iRescue. Please reach out to www.iRescueAnimals.org for more information about adopting this precious girl.

Good morning folks! We received a call about a young calico kitten in Merced who has been stuck in a tree for eleven days. The local fire department attempted to help and tried spraying water to encourage her down, but she has remained in place.

The property owner has given permission for us to step in, and our team will be heading out tomorrow morning. We have elected to complete the retrieval tomorrow due to the unsafe climbing conditions created by the weather.

We are also asking the Merced community for help with rehoming this little one. If you are willing to take in the kitten, or if you know an organization that may be able to provide a safe place for her, please reach out to us with more information. In the event we are unable to find someone local, iRescue is on standby and ready to take the kitten.

Great new VARS tribe! When a concerned resident reached out to us about a kitty stranded on an AT&T utility pole in Ceres, they were told it could take four to five hours just to get a call back. That’s when VARS stepped in to help coordinate a quicker response.

Within just four hours, we had an amazing AT&T technician, Eric, on-site. Thanks to his skill and compassion, the kitty was safely retrieved and is now back on solid ground!

A huge thank you to Eric and AT&T for jumping in and helping make this rescue possible. Your teamwork and kindness truly made a difference today.

We got a call about a kitty that’s been stranded in a tree here in Modesto for about four days. The owner of the kitty contacted the fire department and were turned away. We’re on site now and getting ready to get this little one safely down.

Hey VARS tribe!

We’ve got a little one in need of our help! A cat has been stranded in a tree at Orchard Park on Lincoln Oak for almost four days. The resident who contacted us has already reached out to the fire department, animal control, and Modesto PD, but no one’s been able to help yet.

At this time, we have not been able to locate the cat’s owner. If you think this may be your kitty, please reach out to us for more information. We’ll also be canvassing the neighborhood to help find their family. If we’re unable to locate the owner, the kitty will be transferred to iRescue for safe rehoming.

We’re gearing up to head over and get this kitty safely down! Stay tuned for updates and thank you, as always, for being the amazing, compassionate community that makes rescue possible!

Big news VARS tribe!

Our young cat retrieved from a tree in Stockton has found her forever home. She has been adopted by a loving family in Stockton who named her Bailey. After her rescue, Bailey was taken in and cared for by our wonderful partners at iRescue, who helped her make a smooth and happy transition into her new life.

This moment is especially meaningful for us, as it marks the very first rehoming that VARS has been a part of. We’re thrilled to celebrate this milestone and deeply grateful to iRescue for their dedication and partnership in helping animals find safety and love.

ADOPTION ALERT

VARS responded to a call in Stockton for a young cat stuck high up in a tree. Thanks to teamwork and a little determination, this brave kitty is now safe and sound!

We’re now looking to find this cat a loving forever home. Our friends at iRescue have kindly stepped up to help with placement and care. She is currently located in Riverbank, CA.

Great news VARS tribe!
Another successful retrieval for VARS! This marks our sixth retrieval as an official non profit. We’re happy to be able to help these kitties and reunite them with their loved ones. We checked the neighborhood to verify if there was an owner in the area. This kitty does not have a home to return to but she is very friendly and will surely have a home soon enough thanks to our amazing friends at iRescue!

Before we even headed out for today’s Stockton retrieval, we had already coordinated with iRescue to take in the young cat once safely down. Even though they just had six kittens dropped off at their doorstep this morning and are already nearing maximum capacity, they still didn’t hesitate to help this little one in need.

This kind of teamwork is what makes our rescue community so special, when everyone pulls together, we can keep saving lives.

Good afternoon VARS tribe!

We’ve got another call in Stockton, a young cat who’s been stuck in a tree for about a day and a half. Our team is gearing up now to head out for the retrieval and get them safely down!

At this time, it’s unknown if the cat has an owner, so we’re coordinating with iRescue to ensure they have a safe place to go once rescued.

We’ll share updates as soon as we can, wish us luck and stay tuned!
