At EverLoved Veterinary, we partner with Reverent Coast for aquamation because it offers a gentle, environmentally friendly alternative to flame cremation.

Aquamation — also called water cremation or alkaline hydrolysis — uses warm water and natural alkali to return your pet’s body to its organic elements. The result is soft, pure bone ash (cremains) that can be returned to your family or scattered in a meaningful place.

Whether your pet is received individually or communally, their journey is handled with intention, dignity, and deep respect.

🌿 Understanding Anticipatory Grief 🌿

Sometimes the hardest part of loving a pet is knowing goodbye is coming. 💔

Anticipatory grief is the deep sadness that begins before a loss — when you’re already mourning while your beloved companion is still by your side. You may feel anxious, tearful, or even guilty about the decisions ahead. You might find yourself soaking in every little moment — the look in their eyes, their favorite nap spot, the rhythm of their breathing.

Please know: these feelings are completely normal. They’re a reflection of the love and bond you’ve built.

Be gentle with yourself. Spend time doing what your pet loves most. Talk openly about your feelings. You don’t have to carry them alone. 💕

During my time in general practice I found working with my geriatric and terminally ill patients and their families to be my most rewarding and inspiring work, particularly in how each appointment was the opportunity to help a family during one of the most difficult and memorable times in their lives. I also found I was able to offer greater options for care by utilizing my training in physical rehabilitation and medical acupuncture. All of this in turn inspired me to create EverLoved Veterinary, where I could dedicate myself to giving both my patients and their families peace and comfort by making such an arduous experience as positive and peaceful as possible.
