The focus is on human skills, not horse skills. Specific treatment goals are identifies but sessions are process focused. Activities can be designed to create metaphors for "real life," with sessions structured and facilitated to address the reasons clients came for therapy. Activities can be designed to work on relationships and emotional regulation by developing a healthy relationship with the horse.

✨Weekend Mental Health Reminder ✨

As you head into the weekend, remember that rest is productive too. You do not have to earn your worth through constant busyness. Take time to recharge, connect with people you love, enjoy God's blessings, and care for your mind, body, and spirit.
Give yourself permission to slow down, set healthy boundaries, and be present in the moments that matter most.
"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28

June is Men's Mental Health Month 💙
Men face stress, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship struggles, and life challenges too. Yet many suffer in silence because they feel pressure to "be strong" or handle everything on their own.

This month, let's encourage the men in our lives to talk, seek support, and prioritize their mental and emotional well-being. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness—it is a sign of courage.

"Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." — Galatians 6:2

If you're struggling, you don't have to face it alone.

Mental Health Matters

"Taking care of your mental health is not a sign of weakness—it is an act of wisdom, courage, and stewardship. When we care for our minds, we are better equipped to love God, serve others, and walk in the purpose He has for our lives."

"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." — Proverbs 4:23 (NIV)

Counseling Tip of the Day:

You don't have to solve every problem today. When life feels overwhelming, focus on the next right step rather than the entire journey. Small, consistent actions—making a phone call, taking a walk, saying a prayer, setting a boundary, or asking for help—often create more lasting change than waiting until you feel fully motivated or have everything figured out.
"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." — Matthew 6:34
Today, give yourself permission to take one healthy step forward. That's enough. 💙

Some days feel heavier than others, and the road ahead may seem uncertain. In those moments, remember that God is still present, even when you cannot see what He is doing. The same God who carried you through yesterday is walking beside you today and preparing the way for tomorrow. Hold on to your faith, trust His timing, and know that no hardship is wasted in His hands. Strength, peace, and hope are often growing beneath the surface long before we can see the harvest. ❤️🙏🏻
