White-Gates Farm Equine Rescue

White-Gates Farm Equine Rescue We provide a loving and nurturing home for all equines in need and much more! Please contact us to donate, sponsor, lease, volunteer or to help in any way.

We, White Gates Farm Equine Rescue, are registered with the state of Alabama as a domestic nonprofit organization and with the IRS as a 501c3 Corporation making your donation, charitable and a tax deduction. Blessed with the land my grandparents blood, sweat and tears went in, we work closely with our local shelters and neighboring Rescue’s, trying to save as many horses and farm animals as possi

ble. While we have the space to shelter a few, we can not continue to feed them without your help. Horses arrive here abandoned, abused, emaciated, neglected hooves, hurt and very scared. Our main goal, here at White Gates Farm, is to show them love, feed, care and compassion during their stay on our farm while finding them all permanent and forever homes. Your donations are what make it possible to buy hay/feed, rehabilitate, transport and vet/farrier bills.

Meet Charlie, a standard donkey, that has not been handled outside of his previous owner that has passed away. He lived on the same property for the last 15 years. He is older, very thin, arthritic, and just seems sad and tired of keeping Bingo off of him… He has not been haltered and doesn’t walk on a lead line. No current shot or farrier record. He will need some time to rehab but seems very sweet and willing 🥰

Of course, we will be working on all these things with him. Please let us know if you would like more information on Charlie, 251-635-5993

We had another amazing day with Christ United Student Ministry. They helped feed, groom, and muck but mainly loved on all the animals! Thank you again for your servants heart.

Leo and Hope were so close… we allowed him to mourn and be with her for a while before we moved him and buried her last night. Today, Emmy and Ruby are sticking tight with him and hopefully comforting him. 🥰

The absolute hardest part of what we do in Equine Rescue~say good bye💔
Today we say goodbye to Hope and my heart is just broken about it!!! She has only been here 6 months but anyone that met her, loved her!!! She truly seemed to thank me everyday for rescuing her and I like to think she had the best six months of her life here!!!
Horses get in kicking matches but they usually work it out. Hope took a kick square to the shoulder that resulted in a fractured scapula!!! 😭 But she fought hard, enjoyed all her favorite treats this afternoon and had a full belly💛
To every Dr., Farrier, donation supporter, and Volunteer that has helped feed, love on her, groom her, braid her hair, walk her, brought her extra cookies….we can’t thank you enough!!
Huge appreciation to First Equine Veterinary Services for taking extra special care of her and laid her to rest with dignity. We will miss that tall lanky saddlebred 😭

Huge thanks to everyone that has helped, in any way, restore organization to the sawmill! iykyk🤠
We had a ton of items donated by some amazing people for our “Raising Money for Rescues” sale! If you helped clean out, sweep, dust, restore old saddles, wash tack, size and label saddles, organize nylon, leather, halters, lead ropes, bits, breast collars, etc…
WE THANK YOU!!!

Now we just need some of you lovely people to come buy it🙌

Saddle sizes from kids 10.5 in to 17 in western, several used English saddles, ba****ck pads with or w/o stirrups!

I am here most days and will definitely meet you if you shoot a text to 251-635-5993🤠
