White-Gates Farm Equine Rescue

White-Gates Farm Equine Rescue Our goal is to rescue and rehabilitate abused, abandoned and neglected horses, to regain their trust, and find them safe, loving, permanent adoptive homes.

To provide a sanctuary where some may live out the remainder of their lives with dignity and peace. We, White Gates Farm Equine Rescue, are registered with the state of Alabama as a domestic nonprofit organization and with the IRS as a 501c3 Corporation making your donation, charitable and a tax deduction. Blessed with the land my grandparents blood, sweat and tears went in, we work closely with

our local shelters and neighboring Rescue’s, trying to save as many horses and farm animals as possible. While we have the space to shelter a few, we can not continue to feed them without your help. Horses arrive here abandoned, abused, emaciated, neglected hooves, hurt and very scared. Our main goal, here at White Gates Farm, is to show them love, feed, care and compassion during their stay on our farm while finding them all permanent and forever homes. Your donations are what make it possible to buy hay/feed, rehabilitate, transport and vet/farrier bills. Please contact us to donate, sponsor, lease, volunteer or to help in any way.

They have officially been released from quarantine and have not looked back 😅
They are loving the green pasture but will only have a few hours turnout for the first few days just to make sure they don’t get too much too fast!
Please consider a donation to support their care: https://venmo.com/u/White-Gates-Farm

April arrived August 7th with elevated liver enzymes due to toxic weeds she had ingested. She is doing great on liver support supplements and will get new labs in a month or so in hopes they have decreased. She is a 17 yr old, silver dapple miniature mare and a baby to Dreamy. She is about 40 in. tall and is about 350 lbs. She is UTD on shots and has a negative coggins. She comes right to you but is a little pushy and needs some ground manners. She is coming to her stall to eat and learning to respect our space. 🤠

Dreamy arrived August 7th with elevated liver enzymes due to toxic weeds she had ingested. She is doing great on liver support supplements and will get new labs in a month or so in hopes they have decreased. She is a 23 yr old miniature mare that was used as a brood mare until her last home and was not a fan of being caught. She is about 38 in. tall and is about 300 lbs. She is UTD on shots and has a negative coggins. She is learning to come in her stall to eat and to respect our space. She is also learning to appreciate a good grooming. 🤠

Our goat/sheep paddock has been needing a run-in shelter for some time!!!
The guys at ByGrace Builders heard about the Rescue, reached out and said “we believe in your mission” and “we want to DONATE materials and labor to provide a shelter for them”!

We are beyond grateful, humbled and blessed to receive it!

The work looks great and everything went fast and smooth. They left the job site clean…it is quality built with a strong structure to give them shade and keep their hay dry. We are very happy with the results and both Simmie and Walt were very polite, respectful and worked great as a team. If you need any work done at home or your farm, please give them a call.
