2 new changes a couple that we believe will help with future confusion.

ENTRIES NOT DUE TILL the last day of the month by 7pm CST. Reason for this change is we had buckles scheduled and at this point the bucket company is over a month out on us now so no need to rush entries just take note buckles have a delay and not due to us. They are already purchased and just awaiting them to ship I will start to be a little more pushy on the buckle situation I know how excited some are especially if it’s their first ones!

HOG WEIGHED IN HAS 12 hours to be decided on what category to enter it in. (Reasoning for this rule change is they can catch hogs and decide not to select a category till the end of the month and just select the categories others didn’t)

YOUTH CLASS — 14 & UNDER

We are also going to do a Youth Class for the young hunters.

Entry

* $10 entry
* At 10 entries we will add a cash pot
* Winner will receive a Champion Buckle
* Winner will also be featured as the YOUTH CHAMPION FOR THE MONTH

Rules

* Youth must be 14 years old or younger
* Hog must be weighed alive on video
* Youth must leg and flip the hog themselves
* That is the only requirement

Bonus

* If the youth also ties the hog themselves, an additional 10 lbs will be added to that hog’s final weight
* If they cannot tie the hog, there is no deduction

Hunting

* Hunt however y’all want
* Thermals allowed
* Any legal hunting method is fine
* The only thing required is the youth must leg the hog themselves

Parents please be responsible.

This is meant to be for fun and to give the young ones a chance at winning a buckle.

It is just a buckle —
I do not want to see a youth being pushed into a dangerous situation on a 325 lb barr hog with 4-inch teeth just for a contest.

Use good judgment and keep it safe.
