✨ OSIRIS + ANUBIS ✨

Got to spend the holiday week with these two goofballs. Anubis was a first for me and Osiris, I got to reconnect with from my old shelter days. We always wonder how animals lives are after getting adopted so to see how spoiled and loved he is really warmed my heart. Half way through my stay, I hurt my back and wasn’t able to do much and had me worried about how the dogs would be, given their high energy and sometimes anxious tendencies, but they were absolutely great. It is true that animals can sense what humans are feeling cause it was like a switch to playing fetch for hours on end to cuddling on the couch with me and just being comforting. Also super grateful for doggy doors and reclining couches cause they were a lifesaver this week lol.

✨ JOHNNIE + SUKI + PORTIA + PUGSLEY + PHOEBE + PENELOPE ✨

I hope everyone had a great holiday. I got to spend it with a new crew. Usually cats I watch, keep to themselves but I got to play with these ones quite a bit. Penelope loved sleeping on me. Phoebe would always play with the water while I cooked or was washing my face. Pugsley just wanted love all the time and Portia just always lurked around and judged us all from a distance lol. The dogs were amazing. Johnnie is the sweetest old soul and would literally sleep with you all day every day if he could and Suki was always keeping me on my toes and following me around everywhere I went.

Keeping a very special family in my thoughts and prayers as they had to say goodbye to their sweet girl, Hoosier, today. I was fortunate enough to know her since she was a puppy, so this one hits a little different. I’ll always hold our time together this summer close to my heart. Hug your pets tonight as time is never promised. ♥️

Happy Monday!

The past two weeks have been busy busy for me and I got behind on my posts so I figured I would make a post of everyone that I've been watching since they are all reoccuring clients anyway. I would also like to take this opportunity to make an update on my services. As of right now, I will not be taking on anymore jobs other than the ones that I have booked so you will notice that my rover account will be inactive and my availability on this page has been deleted as well. Without going into a whole lot of detail, ya girl is tired lol. I was already working dogsitting around my main job and for the most part it worked out. Since going back to my second job, some of my dogsitting has just become very inconvenient and stressful. I love what I do so much so I really hate when I feel like I am not giving 100% for every client I have. As of late, I have just been really exhausted and feel like I am running around like a chicken with my head cut off and it's starting to take a toll on my mental health as well as my physical. Like already stated, any dogsitting I already have booked for 2024/2025, I will still be doing and if you are already a client of mine, I will be open to working with you still depending on the dates and what I need to do. I hope everyone understands where I am coming from and I can come back sooner rather than later. For now enjoy some pictures of some of my favorites 🙂

Got to spend another weekend in Kenmare with my Ozzy boy while his pawrents got married. Normally I watch him in the winter time and we end up getting snowed in, so I figured being in the fall for a shorter time we would have a nice quiet weekend but with all the bad weather and power outages, it was just another adventure for us ☺️

✨ LAYLA + CAPRI + ANGEL ✨

I had a full house with this bunch this weekend. There was definitely no shortage of personalities between the three. Layla is such a gentle soul for being a bigger dog. As long as you played fetched with her from sun up to sun down, she was satisfied. Angel though small was mighty. She keeps Capri in line when she’s being crazy and Capri was the funnest yet. Even when she was in your face and getting all the attention, you better find a way to give her more attention. These dogs all had a bed time routine and designated sleep spots with their humans so I was surprised when I woke up and found Layla right next to my bed and Angel and Capri literally on me. Just a little reassurance that I’m doing okay at this. 🥰

✨ B U C K ✨

I try not to play favorites with all the animals I watch but I would be lying if I said this guy wasn’t my favorite but I’m slightly biased. I always love the time I get to spend with him. He is the sweetest(and laziest) boy. When he wasn’t sleeping… we went walking around the neighborhood, went on car rides, helped auntie clean(after he made the mess), got a deep clean bath and coconut oil massage on his dry spots and paws and finished it off with a well deserved trip to the Dairy Queen. ♥️

Don’t let the fancy nail polish fool you, this little girl was probably the most low maintenance dog I’ve gotten to work with yet. As long as she got her treats, walks and pets.. she was an angel.

Got to hang out with two of my favorites the last couple weekends. It was a hot one out so I took advantage and tried my hand at making dog friendly pupsicles. I think the pictures speak for themselves if they liked them or not. I also made some frozen bowls with pumpkin, yogurt and berries which penny had all over her face at one point. Hope yall enjoy these photogenic goofballs as much as I do 🥰

While your pets are probably happy that most don’t have to work and they get to spend more time with their humans, this holiday can be very traumatic for a lot of pets. Here’s some tips to get through the week.

-cbd treats can help keep your pet calm if they start to get anxious
-some kind of anxiety vest or thunder shirt
-having a space for them to go where they’re comfortable and not exposed to loud noises
-if they’re food motivated, having lick mats or kongs or any kind of food enrichment to keep their attention on that
-any kind of white noise whether it’s music, tv or a sound machine
-keeping them in doors
-having a collar with current contact information
-microchips
-updated vaccine tags
-keeping them on a leash or tie out. Even if they don’t run or wander off, fireworks can scare them into doing so
- try to play with them a lot or take them for a run or long walk to wear them out before any loud noises start

If you do lose your animal or find one, make sure you’re posting on Facebook and keeping in contact with local authorities or shelters.

Raise your paws if you're the cutest little stuffed animal looking dog around. This charming young man and I got to meet and hang out this weekend. He loved his walks around the neighborhood(even if it was raining), going for car rides and especially his pup cone. He knew our time together was coming to an end so he protested in the garage and wouldn't let me leave. There is no shortage of personality with this one ❤

✨ M A X ✨

Now this good boy here I am extremely biased on but can you blame me. I already see him almost every day but I think he likes it more when I actually spend the night so we had a week long sleep over. He’s close to 100lbs and could easily knock me over but he truly believes he a 10lb lap dog so that meant a lot of cuddling. We took a trip to towner for a follow up visit and got to see all the horses. He got to hang out with me at work for a little bit. We tried out some new recipes with his kongs and lick mats(all of which he devoured). We didn’t get to go for many walks since his paws were still healing from the dog park the week before, but we did find a nice walking path that seemed to be better on his feet. Of course it wouldn’t be a weekend if we didn’t go to Dairy Queen and get pup cones.
