🐾 Fill A Bowl Friday 🐾

Rescue is fueled by full bellies and big hearts. Every single bowl of food helps us care for the dogs and cats waiting for their second chance.

Right now, we’re especially in need of:
• Cat kibble
• Kitten food
• Wet food
• Specialty and sensitive stomach diets

With so many animals coming through rescue, food disappears around here faster than a tennis ball at a dog park. 😅

How Sparky thinks we’re paying for her surgery in June 🍋

Unfortunately, her lemonade stand profits are a little low, so we’re still raising funds to help cover her upcoming TECA BO surgery this June. 💰💸

This surgery will give Sparky the chance at a more comfortable, pain-free life, and we can’t wait for her to finally get some relief.

A huge thank you to Margaret at Fusion Pet Retreat for generously donating the groom for sweet Capri! ✂️🐾

Margaret has groomed so many of our rescue dogs over the years and every single one comes back looking absolutely perfect. Beyond making them look amazing, she is incredibly patient and compassionate with shy, nervous, and scared dogs, which makes such a huge difference for animals learning to trust again.

We are so grateful for businesses and people like Margaret who help our rescue pets feel comfortable, cared for, and loved. Thank you for always taking such good care of our pups! 💛

🌼 Say “Hi” to Highgarden! 🪻

Highgarden is a lovely brown and white tabby with a gentle, affectionate personality and a talent for making any house feel more like home. This sweet girl is happiest when she’s curled up beside her favorite people, snuggling in for a cozy evening of TV watching or simply relaxing nearby while life happens around her. She has a calm, comforting presence that makes her an easy companion to fall in love with.

While Highgarden adores cuddle time, she’s also wonderfully independent and does a great job keeping herself entertained. She enjoys batting around catnip toys, chasing wand toys during playtime, and finding the perfect sunny or soft spot to lounge in throughout the day. Her balanced personality makes her a great fit for families looking for a cat who can be both playful and laid-back.

Highgarden gets along beautifully with cats, dogs, and children, making her an excellent addition to almost any home. Whether she’s joining family movie night, entertaining herself with toys, or stretching out for a nap, she brings warmth, sweetness, and easygoing charm wherever she goes. Highgarden is ready to find a forever family who will appreciate all the love and companionship she has to offer.

⬛⬜ Meet Checkerboard!

Checkerboard is a handsome young tabby boy with a goofy personality and a heart full of love. Equal parts playful and cuddly, he’s the kind of cat who can turn almost anything into a game — especially catnip kickers, jingly balls, and climbing on his cat tree. When playtime winds down, though, he’s more than happy to catch a nap or soak up attention from his favorite people.

This sweet guy has a wonderful balance of energy and calm, making him a great fit for many different homes. He gets along very well with other cats and has been fantastic with kids of all ages. While he hasn’t met dogs during his time in rescue, his easygoing personality suggests he would likely do well with a slow introduction. Checkerboard is fully litter trained and comfortable being picked up, though he’s also content simply hanging out nearby.

One thing you may notice is the scar on one of his eyes. It has fully healed, requires no extra care, and only adds to his unique charm and expressive face. Checkerboard is ready to bring laughter, affection, and companionship to his forever family.
