A few days after Christmas, I got a text with a photo of what I thought was a tiny worm… nope—it was just Sphynx kitten. 🥹

My brain: absolutely not.

My heart: we’re doing this.

After losing Tater Tot last May and Princess in July, I never thought I’d have another.

But then… this little face happened.

Meet Mr. W***y (Mr. and Miss added by my grandsons 😂) born to Miss Gemma— December 22, 2025. And yes, they’re staying together ❤️

Let the chaos, cuddles, and comedy begin.

Sometimes it takes us older gals a little longer to adapt to change. This is the moment this sweet mama realized life in Minnesota might not be all that bad! Introducing Miss Gemma, our gorgeous world traveler (Spain, Italy, & Pittsburgh) who has finally landed in her forever home. Hi friends, it’s Jessica—one of the original Nudie Mamas. I haven’t been on this page much in recent years, as my growing family has taken priority, but today I wanted to share something very special and close to my heart.

Ten years ago, Princess came into our lives. Her name was Night, and she was a two-year-old queen whose owner could no longer care for her due to illness. From the moment she joined us, it was clear Night didn’t fit her. She was delicate, full of charm, and carried herself with grace—and just the right amount of sass. She was a Princess through and through.

When my children came along and couldn’t quite say “Princess,” she became known as Paw Paw—a name that stuck and felt just right.

Paw Paw was with me through so many of life’s biggest moments—COVID, girls’ nights watching The Bachelor, my wedding, and both pregnancies. I remember her on my baby bump, then curled up beside me as I nursed my babies. She was more than a pet—she was a constant, a companion, and a part of our family.

She was part of our Nudie Patootie crew and the sweetest little meowdel. She didn’t have many poses and earned the title “One Look Wonder.”

Out of all our sphynx, Princess was the most friendly. She loved aggressive cuddles and insisted on being involved in everything—girls’ nights, school pickups, visits to my husband’s office, and even birthday celebrations at a restaurant.

She got along with everyone in the Nudie clan—except Rumple 😂—and had a special bond with Mr. Biggles.

Today, Princess would have turned 12. Born August 5, 2013, she brought ten years of love and joy into our lives. Every summer, she stayed at Gammie Camp with my mom, Michelle, who cared for her whenever we traveled. Princess became a shared cat, loved by our whole family.

Last Monday, we had to unexpectedly say goodbye to Princess due to heart failure. It has been an incredibly sad time. She was always more than a cat—she was part of our lives, our memories, and our hearts.
