Barkuterie Box firmly stands in solidarity with all of our people and communities across Minnesota. We will be closed and stand together tomorrow, 1/23.
A note from our owner, Chef Rebecca:
Last week, on January 14th, I made the decision to pause all Barkuterie Box operations. This decision was not made because of organizational challenges or because we don’t enjoy making delicious snacks for your dogs. I made this decision because my state and its people are in need, and my skills are needed elsewhere at this time.
No one in this free country, citizen, refugee, or immigrant, should ever be afraid to leave their homes. We will remain in this state of pause, protecting and feeding our neighbors until they, their children, their friends, and their elders are no longer in danger. Until they are no longer afraid to go to work, school, their place of worship, or even just to the mailbox.
I am proud to be from Minnesota, a strong, fierce, loving state where all are welcome. We stand up for what is right, we love one another, and we take care of our community.
That will never change.
