Doberman Rescue Minnesota DRM is an all volunteer, nonprofit 501C, charitable organization founded in 1999. We are dedicated to all homeless Dobermans and finding the best possible home for all Dobermans that come into our adoption program. The decisions and recommendations regarding surrendering or adopting a Doberman are based primarily on what is in the best interest of the dog and are guided b

y many years of experience with this special breed. We care as much about the quality of life for all Dobermans in our program as we do our own dogs. Every Doberman that comes into our program is considered a "lucky Doberman" as they do find a loving forever home. DRM is dedicated to each and every dog that comes through our program for the dogs entire life, no matter what, per our adoption contract. Dobermans in our foster program live in private homes with foster families who evaluate the Doberman for temperament and behavior traits, give them structure and play and interact with them. so we can make recommendations on the best type of home for our dogs. To adopt, we do have specific adoption requirements for adopters, and do require a home visit by one of our dedicated volunteers prior to adoption to ensure all our dogs are going to safe forever homes. If you need to surrender your Doberman, for your pets safety and well being, please do not place your beloved pet on Facebook or Craigslist but contact us directly as we are dedicated to every Doberman that is in need of help. Doberman Rescue Minnesota is committed to teaching about responsible pet ownership and the Doberman breed. We do know this breed is not for everyone, Dobermans can have super high energy release requirements, extraordinary intelligence that needs stimulation and are demanding dogs, in your face, that require a strong leader, willing to work and socialize them every day to be the magnificent. Our organization networks with other rescues and shelters across the US and is willing to help where ever needed. We will always assist other organizations when possible.

Looking for a goofy boy who never wants to leave your side? Adoptable Killian is just your guy!❤️🐾

This handsome gentle giant is the definition of a Velcro dog. He wants to be wherever his people are, soaking up all the love and attention he can get. He’s goofy, affectionate, playful, and absolutely convinced that there is no such thing as too much attention. 😂❤️

Killian loves having guests over, enjoys playing with his foster family’s Doberman, and is happiest when he gets to be part of the action.

Now he’s looking for a forever family who is ready for a goofy, loving, slightly high-maintenance Velcro boy who will happily follow you around for the rest of his life. 🥹💙

Because really… who doesn’t want a best friend who thinks you’re the most interesting person in the entire world?

Puppy Bruno needs a foster or adopter! 🤎🖤

Meet Bruno, a handsome 7-month-old Doberman who is looking for a home that can keep up with his young-dog energy and help him become the best boy he can be!

Bruno is a small, neutered, crate trained, housebroken, and has completed puppy school. He knows sit, wait, stay, and his mealtime manners. He loves meeting people and gets excited before settling down.

Bruno is your average active puppy and needs someone experienced who can provide exercise, structure, and continued training. He currently wants to chase cars, people, and other dogs while on walks and will bark when he sees other dogs.

• Lives with a cat & Yorkie
• Has not been around children

Our sweet, goofy Ember has officially become one of the longest residents in our care!!🥺

Ember is a hoot!! He’s sweet, sassy, goofy, and absolutely adores his people. He has so much personality packed into one handsome Doberman, and once he trusts you, you have a friend who is completely devoted to you. ❤️

Ember has so many wonderful qualities:

🐾 Crate trained
🐾 Potty trained
🐾 Great off-leash recall
🐾 Loves to play fetch
🐾 Low prey drive
🐾 No resource guarding
🐾 Comfortable being handled anywhere on his body
🐾 Tolerates baths and nail trims like a champ
🐾 Sweet, affectionate, and incredibly loyal to his people
🐾 A total goofy, lovable DORK ❤️

But Ember does have an important need in his forever home. **His biggest challenge is other dogs.** His reactivity is rooted in fear and can present as fear-based aggression. Because of this, Ember needs an understanding and patient family who is willing to dedicate time, consistency, and training to help him feel safe and confident.

He’s looking for someone who will understand him. Someone who will celebrate his progress, give him time to decompress, continue working on his training, and love him for the goofy, imperfect, wonderful dog that he is.

Prince — Looking for a FOSTER or FOREVER HOME!👑

Prince is a handsome 5-year-old, 100+lb Doberman who is ready for his next chapter. 🖤🤎

Prince is neutered, cropped & docked, crate trained, loving, cuddly, protective, and a total family dog. He has lived with children and is described as a sweet boy who loves his people. He has no bite history and no resource guarding. Good with other dogs in home.

His family is surrendering him because they are no longer healthy enough to properly care for him.

We want to be upfront about what Prince needs to be successful:

🚫 No experience with cats
👧 Older children, ideally 8+
🏡 Secure fenced yard strongly preferred
🐾 An experienced, patient home willing to give him structure and proper introductions

Prince was not well socialized as a young dog and has had serious conflicts with another male Doberman in the past, so we are being very intentional about finding the right placement.

Anna Banana needs a FOSTER!! 🌟

This petite powerhouse is Anna, a young bundle of joy with a huge personality packed into her small frame! Found as a stray, she’s been blossoming in her foster home and showing everyone just how sweet, smart, and silly she is. 🌟

Anna’s motto? Play hard, snuggle harder. She’s a total fetch fanatic, loves zooming around the yard with her foster siblings, and enjoys quiet cuddle time with her foster mom during reading time. 📚💤 She’s the perfect mix of playful energy and cozy companionship.

This bright girl has already learned sit, spin, turn, wait, leave it, and take it — and she’s working on heel, down, front, shake, and stay. 🐾 Her eagerness to learn (especially when food or toys are involved!) makes her a great candidate for scent work or obedience training.

Anna is great with kids and small animals (yes — guinea pigs, rats, mice, even a bearded dragon and leopard gecko 🦎!). She can be shy at first with new people or situations, but with patience and positive reinforcement, she opens up beautifully and gives her whole heart. ❤️

Anna’s Notes:
🏡 6-foot privacy fence required (girl’s got hops!)
🐿️ High prey drive — she loves chasing squirrels and birds
🦮 Slip lead or martingale collar recommended
🛏️ Crate trained, house trained, and loves her kennel
