Forever Fosters of DRM 🌟
At Doberman Rescue Minnesota, our mission is not just to rescue but to ensure that every dog who comes through our doors is given love, safety, and dignity no matter their circumstances. For some dogs, adoption simply isn’t an option due to medical needs, age, or behavioral challenges. That’s where our Forever Foster Program steps in.
Forever fosters are dogs who remain in DRM’s care for life, supported by the rescue and cherished by their foster families. These incredible foster homes commit to loving these dogs for the rest of their days, making sure their golden years are filled with comfort, joy, and belonging.
✨ Meet Reina
Reina is 7 years old and handi-capable! Born with a neurological condition, she navigates life with a wobble, occasional incontinence, and now a wheelchair, but none of this slows her down. Reina loves cuddles, walks, chasing squirrels, and sunbathing in her favorite spot by the window. She’s thriving thanks to her foster family’s dedication and DRM’s support.
✨ Meet Sunny
Sunny’s story is one of survival and resilience. Once used as a bait dog in Missouri, she endured loss and instability before finally finding peace in her forever foster home in 2018. Now 14 years old, Sunny is living each day with love, comfort, and care. She may need meds and extra attention these days, but her foster mom says Sunny’s only wish is to feel safe and loved—and she absolutely is.
✨ Meet Whiskey
Whiskey came to DRM from Kansas City after landing on a shelter’s euthanasia list. With anxiety and a rocky past, she needed a special home, and DRM made sure she had one. Since 2017, Whiskey has been cherished in her forever foster home, where she enjoys her beloved Kongs, squeaky toys (especially Mr. Pigglesworth!), and the company of her foster siblings. She may be gray in the face, but her spirit is as young and playful as ever.
✨ Meet Zeus
Zeus is a strong, beautiful Doberman who faces behavioral challenges that make him unsuitable for adoption. But in his forever foster home, Zeus has safety, stability, and unconditional love. His foster family provides him the structure he needs, and DRM ensures he will always have the support and care he deserves.

These dogs may not be adoptable, but they are family. They remind us that every life has value and every dog deserves love, regardless of age, health, or circumstance. Forever fosters like Reina, Sunny, Whiskey, and Zeus live happy, full lives thanks to the compassion of their foster families and the generosity of supporters like you.
