We know that sweet face is persuasive, but a few common holiday favorites are actually highly toxic to pets! Please be mindful of what might accidentally slip off the table:
🍫Chocolate/Baking Items: Even small amounts of dark chocolate or cocoa powder are dangerous.
🫑Onions, Garlic, Chives: These common spices can damage red blood cells.
🍇Grapes & Raisins: Even a few can cause kidney failure.
🦴Cooked Bones: They can splinter and cause serious internal damage or blockages.

Keep your furry friend safe and happy this holiday season by sticking to their regular diet or approved pet-safe treats!

Here are three simple things you can do to make your next visit much easier:
🚗Carrier/Car Prep: Leave your pet's carrier out in your home a few days before the visit so they can see it as a normal part of the furniture, not a scary travel box.
🍪Bring Snacks: A favorite blanket, a beloved toy, and plenty of high-value treats (like soft cheese or chicken) can create positive associations in the clinic.
💬Talk to Us! If your pet is extremely anxious, call us ahead of time! We can often provide calming supplements or pre-visit medication to make the experience safer and happier.

Early detection is key to breast cancer survival. But nearly half of all women in the U.S. have dense breast tissue, which can make detecting breast cancer difficult with a mammogram. Mayo Clinic researchers found that adding another test, called molecular breast imaging, or MBI, to a 3D mammogram improved the ability to find cancer in dense tissue by more than double.
