✈️Our little Rocket is finally blasting off to his bright future! Yes! Rocket got his freedom flight today! One of our wonderful partners, Animal Refuge Center, will be helping him find his furever family and we couldn't be more excited for him!

Rocket actually found his island foster himself in the form of our new Director for Flight Angels, Andrea. He was so sick he knew he needed help, so he crawled out of the bush and into our Andrea's arms! She had been feeding and trying to catch him for weeks, but it was Rocket that finally decided to trust and ran directly to her. At the time, he was having breathing difficulty due to a respiratory infection and one of the worst cases of worms we have seen! It took a couple of months of treatment to get him ready to travel, but today was the day!

Rocket is sweet, playful, and his foster says he will be very much missed. If you are in the Ft. Myers, FL area, and looking to adopt, please stop by and check out our beautiful Roatan kitty.

A huge thank you to our flight angel, who requested to remain anonymous, and our rescue partner, Animal Refuge Center, for welcoming our precious boy! 😻

A cat’s worth is never determined by its breed, beauty, or price tag.
They may not have a fancy breed, a soft bed, or someone to call their own, but their lives matter just as much.

You don’t have to adopt every stray, but please don’t forget the ones who have nobody. Sometimes, a little food, fresh water, or simply treating them with kindness can mean the world to a hungry soul. ALL CATS MATTER. Not just the ones we bring home

❤️ A New Chapter for Flight Angels of Roatán ❤️

After a lot of thought, I have made the decision to step down as Director of Flight Angels of Roatán and bring my time running the Roatán program to a close.

When I started this program, I simply wanted to help cats who had nowhere else to go. I could never have imagined how many lives we would touch, how many incredible people we would meet, or how far some of these little island cats would travel to find the families they deserved.

We have already stopped accepting new cats into the program, and our focus now is getting every cat currently in our care onto their freedom flight. We expect our final cats to be flown by the end of October. ✈️🐈❤️

I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished and so grateful to every Flight Angel who carried a cat, every rescue partner who said YES, every adopter who opened their home, every volunteer who helped on the island, and every person who donated, shared a post, drove a cat, fostered, fed, cleaned, transported or simply cheered us on.

This is not the end of cat rescue for me. ❤️

Flight Angels Inc., the nonprofit I founded, will remain with me. My next chapter will be focused on helping cats closer to home in Key West and the Florida Keys. Apparently, I am incapable of simply sitting on the couch and relaxing when there are cats that need saving. 😂🐈

As for Roatán, I hope the lifesaving work continues. The board members of our Roatán team have choosen to continue a program here, I am happy for this page and its wonderful Roatán community to continue with them. After the transition, however, I will no longer be the Director or involved in the management, finances, fundraising or operations of the Roatán program. Any future Roatán operation will be independent from Flight Angels Inc.

Before I go, we still have one last mission: get every one of our remaining cats HOME. ✈️❤️

This island, these cats and this incredible little rescue family will always have a huge piece of my heart.

Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for helping me. Thank you for flying with me.

And most of all, thank you for helping us give so many Roatán cats the lives they deserved.

It has been one hell of a flight. ✈️🐾❤️

🐾 Three Very Special Freedom Flights… and a Bittersweet Day for Flight Angels of Roatán! ❤️

Today, three more precious lives are leaving the island, each with their own story, their own Flight Angel, and a future filled with hope. This one is especially close to my heart. ❤️

💕 Our amazing Flight Angel Jennifer is flying with Hantu (Ghost) and little Chickpea!

Jennifer, a veterinarian, first met Chickpea while volunteering on the island at a spay/neuter clinic. But Chickpea was just too tiny to fly! So what did Jennifer do? She flew all the way BACK to Roatán to get her once she was big enough! 🥹❤️ Now that’s dedication! And sweet Hantu gets to tag along on this very special journey he is a very shy guy but with Dr Jens help they will find his perfect family!

🐈‍⬛ Our wonderful Flight Angel Stefanie is carrying one very special little panther, Winnie, his foster affectionately nicknamed Batman. 🦇❤️

Batman is paralyzed, and the specialized care he desperately needs simply isn’t available on the island. Our incredible rescue partner, Milo's Sanctuary, Inc. in California, agreed to welcome him with open arms. Their dedication and expertise in caring for special-needs kittens is second to none!

We are SOOO grateful that Stefanie was able to get Batman on a flight so quickly. Everyday matters for this little guy, and now he has a real chance at the life and care he deserves. ❤️

And for me, today carries a little extra emotion.

Over the years, I’ve watched so many cats board planes, each one carrying a little piece of my heart with them. Some flights have been joyful, some have brought tears, and every single one has reminded me why we started this journey.

Today’s flight feels a little different. 🥹

Sometimes the most meaningful chapters end quietly, with three little lives taking flight and the knowledge that somewhere, because of all of us, their worlds are about to change forever.

To Jennifer, Stefanie, our fosters, rescue partners, volunteers, and every person who has helped make these miracles possible — thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Three more lives saved. Three more beautiful beginnings.

And one flight I will never forget. ✈️🐾❤️
