😁 SNAGGLETOOTH ALERT 😁

Enid is an approximately 2-year-old Chow Chow that just came into rescue. She is sweet, smart, and surprisingly confident!

However, this sweet girl was found as a stray and is incredibly small and emaciated, weighing in at only 15 pounds. This girl is so skinny, she can sneak through the bars of a baby gate. Her fur masks how thin she really is. We'll be working on getting her back to a healthy weight gradually.

Enid loves cheek scratches, rides well in the car crated, and seems pretty well adjusted/calm despite what she must have gone through.

If you are interested in fostering Enid, fill out an application on our website!

We didn't have any candy, so the NR+R volunteer team decided to do a rescue transport instead of trick or treating this Halloween!

Luna and Max were in danger of being euthanized due to lack of shelter space, so they are halfway through their freedom ride from Texas to Minnesota. Huge shoutout to our volunteers for making this happen on such short notice!

Luna was pulled on Thursday and stayed in a boarding facility until this morning when our team could pick up Max after his stray hold was up at the shelter. No one had come forward to claim them, so we're going to find them amazing homes up north just in time for the cooler weather.

Both Luna and Max are about 8 years old - they are calm, friendly, and sweet Siberian Huskies/Husky mixes.

Just a girl’s day out with Athena for her initial rescue vetting! She has mastered the classic husky side eye 👀

Photos don’t do this girl justice - she is so stunning! Bonus: she is affectionate, sweet, social, and so friendly!

📣 FOSTER HOMES NEEDED 📣

Howie (intact male Siberian Husky) and Athena (intact female Husky mix) were on the euthanasia list at a shelter in Illinois because they were out of space. Our friends at WILD CANINE RESCUE pulled them and held them for us to pick up on our way through on our way back from Tennessee!

These two are great so far - friendly, social, and good with dogs and people!

If you can help, please let us know!

These little cuties were in the rescue parade today at the Samoyed national specialty! They received beautiful framed rosette plaques with their names. Can’t wait to take them home and hang them up! 🎀🎀🎀

Where in the 🌎 is the NR+R crew this week?

📍Kingsport, TN for 🐾

Dottie, Harper, and Rooney are acting as ambassadors for rescue Samoyeds this week at the Samoyed national specialty show! They have loved meeting all the attendees, exhibitors, and dogs, and sharing their rescue stories.

Show us your besties! You know the ones...you can fight one second and die for each other the next.

Rooney the Samoyed and Polo the Siberian Husky are thick as thieves. Are they always dirty from romping around and wrestling in the yard? Yes. But are they always happy? Also yes. 💚

Rooney was part of the Samoyed puppy rescue in Iowa back in February (led by our friends at Paws-N-Claws Iowa), and Polo came to us from in August!

What a mix of blue, brown, and green eye colors these little meatballs have! As puppies get older, their eye color changes a lot - we can't wait to see what colors each of their eyes ends up being!

We think Tito has one brown, one blue, and Enzo and Geno look like they have one green, one blue - and on opposite eyes! Fia and Nino are holding it down with blue eyes...for now 🙂.

We think they are mostly Siberian Husky with a little bit of Australian Shepherd and C**n Hound.

Our team is working on growing and socializing these puptatoes to get them ready for adoption. They're being fostered while we're gone to , the Samoyed Club of America's National dog show, in Tennessee starting this weekend. Applications are open and will be reviewed when our team gets back! Ideal adoptive placement will be by the end of October.
