Dog Training is about establishing a communication system between you and your dog. By using the principles of operant and classical conditioning, the focus is shifted from what the dog did wrong and correcting it with punishment to what the dog did RIGHT and rewarding it with praise, food, toys and anything your dog may love. By ignoring, managing, preventing and redirecting the wrong, undesirabl

e behaviors, your dog will learn to make RIGHT, more desirable choices. Positive reinforcement is not only a more effective way to train your dog than the use of punishment, but it makes for a more enjoyable and fun way to train for both you and your dog. We are here to teach you, the owner, how to properly train your dog for the behavior you desire from simple sits, downs, loose leash walking, to helping resolve behavior issues such as house breaking, jumping, barking, and nipping. Whether you need basic obedience, want to train for competition or just want to have fun with your dog we have a class for you. Private and group classes are available in north and central Brevard County. We offer Basic Obedience, Advance Obedience, All levels of Agility, Tricks and CGC training.

Tuesday’s Training Tip

Sit cue is usually the first thing everyone teaches their dog. But is Sit really an easy thing to learn? How well does your dog really know sit?

Try having them sit on different surfaces, with different distractions. How about telling your dog to sit with your back to him? Or when he is laying down. Can he do it? Just because you trained a sit doesn’t mean it’s a solid sit and if he doesn’t sit, it doesn’t mean he is being stubborn or defiant, it just means you have more training to do with him. 😊
