Thinking about adding a puppy to your family? Make sure you know how to spot the difference between a responsible breeder and a puppy mill. Noticing one or more of these is a red flag. 🚩
Some puppy mills are hard to spot at first glance. They may have polished websites, claim their dogs are health tested, and say puppies are raised in a “family environment.” But dig a little deeper, and the red flags start to show.
And if you’re open to adoption, don’t forget: shelters and breed-specific rescues are full of puppies and purebred dogs looking for homes. If you have your heart set on a certain breed, it’s worth checking local rescues; you might find the perfect match.
