Kick off the season of giving with Hope's Lights! 💛
Sadie was 8 years old when she arrived at the Wisconsin Humane Society. Her owner loved her deeply, but they had personal health issues that made it difficult to access care, and they turned to WHS for rehoming support. During her initial health exam, our veterinary team discovered a concerning mass on her head that would need to be surgically removed and tested for cancer. ❤️🩹
Thankfully, her surgery was successful, and she was cancer-free! By then, her foster mom knew this temporary guest was going to become a permanent family member. “She just fit in so seamlessly that it was hard to picture her going somewhere else.”
We are so glad to know that the love-filled life Sadie has always known continues, and are endlessly honored by the trust of families who turn to us when the future is less than certain. Thanks to generous supporters like you, animals like Sadie can find healthy futures, happy homes, and hope for a brighter tomorrow. It all starts with you!
You can donate in honor or memory of a beloved companion animal, person, or even a wild animal. You can also donate in honor of a loved one and let them know with a personalized e-card - a perfect gift for that hard-to-shop-for person on your list! Every dollar matters at a time when veterinary expenses continue to rise, which not only affects families with pets, but organizations like WHS, too. As we continue to strive to bridge gaps in accessing care for pets already in loving homes, your support of animals like Sadie ensures that we’re always a safe landing net for those who need us. Thank you so much. ❤️
