We had an incredible day at Pet Walk Milwaukee this past Saturday. The sun was shining, tails were wagging, and we made so many new friends!
🎉 The event's success would not have been possible without our incredible 2026 sponsors, our volunteers, vendors, and of course, all the participants and supporters who collected donations and recruited friends and family to join them. Pet Walk MKE is TOMORROW (6/20), and we are so excited to see everyone at Veterans Park! 🎉

If you’re planning to attend, here are a few last-minute details:
🐶 REGISTRATION: You'll be able to register if you haven't already, drop off any donations you collected, and pick up your bib, shirt, and fundraising prizes as early as 8:30 am.
🚶‍♀️ 5K Run/Walk: The timed 5K run will begin at 10:00 am, and our walkers will follow shortly after.
🎊 Our family festival area is open from 8:30am to noon. Stop by, meet our vendors, watch educational demonstrations, and have fun!

⭐ Remember, pets are welcome but are not required to participate! Bring your whole family and enjoy this amazing event!

Who doesn't need a little Magic✨ in their life?
Sweet 6-year-old Magic is an absolute favorite amongst staff and volunteers! She has spent time with a foster family who said she was "happy to play and go on walks, but just as happy to curl up and snuggle with her people."
Our volunteers also shared that:
⭐ "Magic has the cutest eyes and gives the best leaning-hugs. She is very sweet"
⭐ "I love Magic. She is so sweet and brightens my day so much. What a gem!"
⭐ "Magic is the sweetest little lady. Walking her brightens my day, and she is such a sweet snuggle bug afterwards. She truly is magic!"

Magic has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and because she's one of our Benchwarmer dogs, you get to decide her adoption fee when you take her home!
Stop by our Milwaukee Campus during adoption hours to meet her.

Pet Walk MKE is this weekend and online registration closes tonight, Tuesday 16, at 11:59pm! 👀

Here are some important details for everyone who has registered:
🎁 Grab your bib, shirt, and fundraising prizes at our Milwaukee Campus on Wednesday, June 17, from 3-6pm and skip the lines on Saturday!

Can't make it to the shelter? No worries! You'll still be able to register, drop off any donations you collected, and pick up your shirt and fundraising prizes at Veterans Park on Saturday, June 20, beginning at 8:30 am.

Day-of fees will be $45/adult 5K (age 18+), $40/adult 1-mile walk, $35/youth 5K (age 11-17), $30/youth 1-mile walk, and $10/child, which includes your t-shirts.

🌞 We cannot wait to see you there in just a few days!
