🐾 Temporary Fosters Needed for Future Service Dogs! 🐾

Infinite Possibilities is seeking temporary foster homes from June 8th through July 13th for several rescue dogs that are being evaluated for our Service Dog Program. There may also be an opportunity to extend beyond July 13th if the foster family is interested and it is a good fit.

The dogs pictured on Slide 2 from .playground are going to complete temperament testing to determine whether they have the qualities needed to become service dogs for individuals with disabilities.

As a temporary foster, you will provide a safe, loving home for dogs that successfully pass the evaluation process. Your foster home will continue to provide a stable environment while we work to match them with permanent puppy raisers.

If this is not a post you feel comfortable reading at this time, please prioritize your mental health and do not read on.

I unfortunately have to make this post, and it is one of the hardest things I have ever had to write.

I pride myself and this organization on transparency, and I never ever want to be an organization that hides things or lies to save face. With that in mind, I have to share the devastating news that we lost service puppy in training, Waffle, over Memorial Day weekend.

I will keep most of the details private, but ultimately we chose humane euthanasia after he failed to come back to responsiveness following a seizure. None of the vets we worked with over the weekend know what caused this, and the current thought is that it was potentially a congenital anomaly and impossible to predict.

We waited to make this post until we were able to personally talk with the people who spent the most time with Waffle over the last 4 months.

I know this news is shocking and devastating, especially to those who met him, loved him from afar, or are fellow dog lovers and empaths like I know so many of you are.

Please know I am planning some kind of memorial fund in his honor. More to come on that as we all continue to grieve.

My mantra for this whole ordeal has been “sometimes life just chucks rocks at your face”. If you are feeling the same way, know that I am thinking of you.

We had the incredible opportunity to join Kaity and her class of adult adaptive art at .pabstfarms ! The class did a Lana inspired watercolor painting and colored some of our favorite coloring sheets of our therapy dogs! Rukia, Sebastian, and Lana also all received a TON of love and had the best time ever!! We can’t wait to return for future adaptive art events in the coming months!

We’re looking for self starters who are patient, adaptable, dependable, and excited to help raise future assistance dogs through our puppy foster program.

Raising a puppy takes a whole lotta heart, from midnight potty trips to crate training and everything in between 😅🩷

These puppies will be temperament tested soon to see if they have what it takes to join our Lana’s Legacy Assistance Dogs Program 🐶🩷 If they pass their evaluations, they’ll begin their journey toward becoming psychiatric or autism assistance dogs for individuals with disabilities — and they’ll need sponsors to help make that possible.

We’re currently looking for a few really special sponsors before June 4th to help cover things like adoption fees, vet care, food, supplies, gear, and training costs while these future assistance dogs begin their journey.

We’re looking for both individuals and businesses who want to be part of something genuinely life-changing. Sponsorship levels range from $700-$12,000, so there are a lot of different ways to get involved.

Every sponsor receives:
✨ A custom vest patch worn by by the puppy for the entirety of their training
✨ Recognition on our website homepage
✨ Updates on the puppy you helped support

Some sponsorship levels even include puppy naming rights 🐾

You can also choose to sponsor in honor of a loved one or beloved pet as a living tribute, which I think is such a meaningful way to make an impact.

Therapy dog classes are back! 🩷🐶

Our Therapy Dog Certification class is designed to help dogs build the calm, confident skills needed for therapy work while strengthening the bond between dogs and handlers. We’ll be working on manners, focus around distractions, public skills, and more in a supportive, positive environment.

We currently have classes starting in July and September!

If you are a dog lover who views puppyhood as a satisfying challenge, we NEED you to join us on June 2nd to learn about puppy raising!

Infinite Possibilities is looking to collaborate with self starters that believe in the joy, comfort, and accessibility of animal companionship for our puppy foster program.

Raising a puppy takes a whole lotta heart. And as fellow puppy lovers, we know that type of love looks a lot like midnight potty trips, patiently prying shoes out of mouths, and a LOT of deep breaths during crate training.

This is exactly why we are here to give you every bit of support we have in our toolbox! For 2 years, we have grown our program to provide not only training tools for our fosters, but financial coverage for vet care, supplies, day care, and skills classes onsite at our facility.

Partnering puppies with people like you makes a huge difference. Our foster program is one piece of Lana’s legacy IP initiative that pairs service dogs with owners to support autism and psychiatric needs.

Lana is turning 10!!! 🩷🐶

It’s hard to believe the rescue dog who inspired this whole organization is already 10 years old. Lana changed my life in so many ways, and because of her, Lana’s Legacy Assistance Dogs Program exists today.

Come celebrate with us on June 28th from 11am-1pm at Salty Paws MKE!

Bring your pup (on leash) to grab some ice cream, check out Salty Paws’ boutique, and get a caricature of your dog done by Kaity Powers while helping raise money for our programs 💕
