😻Foster Spotlight: Stanley and Ollie😻

Stanley and Ollie are an especially handsome bonded pair of brothers! They love playing, snuggling, being pet, and picked up. These boys were rescued from a hoarding situation with prior dental issues but are unbelievably resilient, precious and so sweet.

💞Both boys would love a quiet home to thrive in!

🤪Ollie has an adorable permanent blep from dental extractions!

💗Stanley is on a prescription care diet and takes an easy-to-administer daily medication for stool regulation. He loves taking it and will come to you when it’s time to take it!

🔴Their favorite toy is a red dot laser!

These sweet, resilient boys would love a special home to retire in with their forever family.

This year, as part of the Foster 50 Challenge, Almost Home Cat Rescue MKE will be sharing stories from our foster program.

Read Nancy's story below:
After joining Almost Home, I trapped a beautiful kitty that happened to be the first kitty that was taken in. I then trapped her kitten and Almost Home became a shelter instead of a concept. I thought about fostering over time but was afraid I'd keep them all and not have room for others in need. After thinking carefully and telling myself that keeping them would not help more who desperately needed homes, I decided that fostering was the right thing to do.

After time and over 50 fosters, I received two brothers who needed more help than all the others. Physically they were in a lot of pain and also confusion as to why their family gave them up. Throughout their ordeal, they were the sweetest and held onto me for comfort. We finally determined the proper treatment and life became better for them. Through all if this, the bond we all shared was undeniable. I determined they needed to be mine and became my first foster fail.

Even though I kept them, I'm fortunate to have enough room to continue fostering and have helped many more.

Fostering has been a rewarding experience and it's exciting to see these babies going to their new homes to start the next chapter in their lives.
