Martha Reeves wasn’t looking for a stallion—in fact, she almost didn’t go look at No Pressure on Me, aka Rooster, when he came up for sale.

“I bought him to run barrels; I had no intentions of standing him,” Reeves admitted.

Despite health challenges that limited their runs together, Reeves and Rooster managed some major wins including the permit race at WPRA World Finals. “He loves to run barrels,” Reeves noted. With money earned from aged competitions to rodeos, Rooster’s lifetime earnings are $120,000.

Rooster’s first full foal crop hit the arena in 2020, winning enough to make him the #1 freshman sire that year. “They tell me his colts are easy to train,” Reeves said. “He has speed and a good mind, good bone.”

With limited foals on the ground, Rooster’s progeny earnings already top $1.763 million, in barrels, team roping and breakaway roping, landing him inside the top 25 on QStallions. His top earner is SBW FeelinThePressure who’s won $446,736 and growing.

“He’s the best horse I’ve ever had and he’s just full of personality,” Reeves said. “We’re excited for the future; it’s hard not to get a little impatient for them to get out there.”

🤩RR Mistakelly

Last night in Burley, ID, Makenna Shook and her horse XV Mario stopped the clock on a standard pattern in just 16.53 seconds! This run is unofficially a Women's Professional Rodeo Association Record on a standard pattern.

Makenna and XV Mario are quite the team. Makenna is a WPRA Rookie (currently ranked 3rd in the Resistol Rookie Standings) and XV Mario is a 5 year old who is in his futurity season! This five year old was raised by NFR Qualifier Samantha Lyne Mauney and is by the stallion RR Mistakelly and out of XV Watch Me Rock who is by Famous Bugs and out of Samantha's NFR mare LK Watch Me Rock.

Congrats Makenna and XV Mario on an incredible run!
