Hello I had an issue come up today and I would like to share some information with you. Please understand, my business is always open to customers to check out my business. However, there are a few instances that I would appreciate a call before you knock on the door.
When you drop off, we will discuss the time to pick up your dog or I will call you when the dog is done. I do that sometimes , because if they dont like the high velocity dryer, it will take longer to dry by the fan and I am not sure how long it will take. So, if I tell you I will call or text, I promise I will.
Please do not show up to check on your dog. I have a very small salon and all the dogs can see you at the door. This gets them very excited and it makes it difficult at times to finish the groom. And it also becomes dangerous for me and your pet. If you want to call or text to check on your dog, that is welcomed and encouraged. I know they are your baby and you want to know how they are. I can take video or send pictures to show you how they are doing.
If you come to check when I am grooming, i will stop what i am doing and you will be charged the full price, even if its not complete. I know this sounds harsh, but scissors and clippers are very sharp and grooming tables are high. If they try to get to you while on my table, they could get hurt or cut and I do not want that to happen. Or I could get hurt trying to catch your dog so they don't fall.
If you do not want your dog to stay longer than the average of 4 hours +/-, there is an additional charge of $100 + groom for me to work on your dog straight through. I will not check in any other dogs during that time. I do not answer the phone or work on any other dogs at that time. Most little dogs take 1-2 hours to complete and larger dogs take 2-3 hours. This type of an appointment must be noted at the time of booking the appointment. I cannot change your appointment type when you drop off.
I do not rush the grooming process. I used to groom large numbers of dogs in a day, but i have reduced the number so I can enjoy my career. I also want the dogs to enjoy being here and I want the customers to like the service I provide.
I am not the groomer for everyone. And that is ok. I work alone and have to make a few rules to ensure good quality and everyone enjoys being here (your dog and me).
If you have any comments or concerns please discuss this with me with a message or a phone call.
Thank you with understanding.
