Meet Sophia! A little girl with a big world to discover. 💕

FOSTER OR FOSTER TO ADOPT NEEDED BY NOVEMBER 4th

Sophia is a 2-year-old, 18-pound wire-haired terrier mix who is just beginning to learn what it means to be on her own. ❤️

She spent her entire life with her mom and siblings, and now she’s learning to navigate the world without them. She’s a shy girl who needs a little patience, understanding, and someone willing to show her that the world isn’t such a scary place.

Sophia is still learning to walk on a leash, so a secure fenced-in yard is a must. A friendly canine companion would be wonderful to help her build confidence, too!

🏡 Sophia is looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home where she can take things at her own pace and learn to feel safe and loved.

Sometimes the dogs who need us most are the ones who need a little extra time. Could you be Sophia’s safe place? 💗

❤️ MAMBA FROM WEST HAVEN IS HOME SAFE AND SOUND! ❤️
Mamba’s journey home took teamwork, patience, and a whole lot of love! 🐾
CTDGRV volunteer Melanie reached out to Mike from Heatseekers Drone Services to see if he had time to fly his drone and help search for Mamba. Mike has a special place in his heart for dogs who are hurt, so he didn’t hesitate to come out and help! ❤️
Mike was able to locate Mamba and called the owner to come out. What followed took nearly an hour of patience, with Mike carefully watching Mamba and guiding the owner on what to do.
Finally, Mamba surrendered and came to his owner! What a wonderful moment! 🥹❤️🐾
A HUGE THANK YOU to Mike from Heatseekers Drone Services for giving his time, compassion, and expertise to help bring Mamba home. And thank you to Mamba’s owner for following the guidance and being patient throughout the process.

Sometimes circumstances change, and through no fault of their own, dogs find themselves in need of a new home. Sweet Moxie is being returned because her family’s work schedule has changed, leaving her spending more time in her crate than they feel is best for her. 💔

Moxie is a friendly, playful, intelligent girl with plenty of love and energy to share. She deserves a home where she can be part of daily life and enjoy the active lifestyle she was born for. ❤️

✨ A little about Moxie:
🐾 Crate trained and sleeps peacefully in her crate at night
🐾 Potty trained
🐾 Leash trained
🐾 Knows commands such as sit and stay
🐾 Has received behavioral training, including leash skills, off-leash work, and staying focused around other animals
🐾 Dog friendly — she tends to do best with dogs her own size, but may also live with smaller dogs if it is the right match to her energy and playfulness.
🐾 Cat friendly, although she enjoys playfully chasing them
🐾 Good with older children, but her enthusiasm and energy may be too much for young children

🏡 What Moxie needs in her next home:

Moxie is looking for an active family with a secure, fenced-in yard and the time to provide the exercise, activity, and engagement she needs. She has plenty of energy when she’s ready to go, but she can also settle in and enjoy relaxing with her people.
